If you can't play on .de/.nl then don't play. I honestly don't know why le agreed to playing on .swe, but i guess someone is friends with the admins.

In CB rules there used to be that pings from players from russia/turkey/isreal etc. are to be ignored when calculating avg. ping and finding a server.


No-one should be punished for playing against someone from siberia or with a horrible connection.

FYI, 102 also played on .se servers against CZE, action and unknown.

No, you don't get it. Players usually have half the ping on .de/.nl as they do on .swe ...so when you play 95% of your games on that lower ping, its what your used to. Its not that 50is unplayable, its just much different.

Russia is large, for some people it's geographically impossible to have good pings on default de/nl servers, they are using everything to fix it: different isps, vpns, proxies, paying for these services double as ql sub costs. And you guys, who live in tiny europe can't appreciate that and try to fix your own routing issues to sweden/poland?

I understand that Russia is part of Europe, just saying that "local" tourneys/cups are here set up for a reason (fun games). I would love to see i.e. NA players participating as well, because the more diverse the players pool the better. But from a practical pov, rly would not be fun to play/spec.

ok, yes you have a point....i feel sorry for russians who have these connection problems, but most of quakers live or ping well in central europe, the minority that is the russian community should be respected, but the majority shouldn't suffer for it. Russia is huge, sometimes we are forced to play on .pl/.swe servers just because of that one guy ..and thats the unfortunate part.

I haven't played almost any match this EC.

To bring some perspective into this:
Usually matches played with bad pinging russian players are played on sweden to even out the pings.
That sometimes means that players from the other team take a hit of around 20ms to their normal pings.
I think that pavel along with krus are the only two top TDMers we know still being able to bring out the A game on 70-90 ping.

We all know how QL becomes really weird the more ping you have.

A parallel to this is that if you put the russian players on german server they usually take 20ms hit to their connection. pavels ping get around 80, immortals gets around 55, 421 gets around 70 and ikkeds gets around 50.

Two games 102 lost in this EC were played on a german server due to the lack of option to play on sweden servers. TBH if that ping hit affects team like 102 which usually plays on a high ping, why wouldn't it affect any other team normaly playing on german server only to go trough taking a 20ms hit to play against russians on a sweden one.

To make things fair you have to play in sweden since anyones normal ping in germany is pretty low and taking a 20ms hit to that seems like nothing.

But the change is the same. As we can see the 20ms really affects reaction time aswell as prediction weapons.

Le v l0w got played on a german server, it doesn't matter that prodx had 60 ping and that you tried other servers. It was pretty natural not to let the complete enemy team take a ping hit because 1 player has a fucked up connection.

It didn't seem natural to you guys though, I have nothing against you guys but prodx behavior was just lol.

Well yeah, wanting to field the best server for yourself seems to be something only 102 get to do.
I mean don't get me wrong, being 1 of top 4 teams coming from div2 tdm cups and really WORKING for this is something to be proud of. Also topping the group and having to play last years EC champions is no small feat. Beating them once is no small feat.

Even if the server was split to home and away seems like 102 had one of those pwning days, and sportsmanship dictates to recognize what happened fully, and that is in the end their win. so GG on that.

Well I can't really argument regarding playing on SWE servers since we ping very good there, but at the end of the day it comes down to the average pings of the teams, not what people are used to.

I haven't seen the average pings of your match, can just hope it was fair.

Ye, it's a catch 22 for them most part.

So lets say my team is from portugal and we have an american on our team, that would force you to play on portugal server, because of avg. ping would mean its unfair anywhere else. Surely you wouldn't be pleased with that?
