In the end it's up to me to decide who is allowed to play or not, so everybody who didn't play Warsow that much can theoretically sign up, but I will filter out the ones that are too good.

okay, im playing q2 for quite a while even if i kinda quited, won some tourneys and lans in CS and got invited to DreamHack in ql, how can i not be in "not a longtime, active player from another arena FPS switching to Warsow" ?

Warsow is nice modern fps, with dash jump deliver wider gameplay, tactic, movement variations. But no community and kinda not mainstream :-( dunno why

Yep, pigs are horrible. Either they go somewhere serious, or they do actual funny models like in Offensive Combat, like pandas and bananasuit.

Faceit is Quake and high-tier aswell, so I see no problem with that tbh.

Hm, well you have to set your priorities. I don't have the time to host it on another day so that's why I picked the Sunday.

I would like to participate, but it is the legends cup...

I like the idea tho, so maybe the next one (if there is one).

Guys, this is a cup for beginners who are new to Warsow and want to have some competition without getting stomped by people who play the game for several years. I have no intention in providing prizes for the cups, if you want to win prizes, sign up for the Sparta Duel Cup #2 . I will try to organize a stream but I can't promise anything yet.

I don't even know why people still try to do some noobie/beginners cup for games where it is impossible to do so.
The only way to do a real beginner cup is to have a pay-to-play game where you have to register an unique account. Even for a free-to-play games with accounts it's almost impossible to avoid smurfing.

Also it's pretty ridiculous to do this kind of thing for warsow since warsow doesn't have any matchmaking whatsoever (or at least as far as I know) and the playerbase is really small, so quite obviously if people want to play the game they will sooner or later have to face a lot of stronger opponents.

Of course on paper it's a good initiative but from my experience these kind of cups tend to never work as intented.

I think the Ignition cups in QW some years ago worked quiet well.
