Advertising hacked DeFraG QL servers. Some guy figured out how to make custom servers in California that hosted CPM/ defrag maps, and I was banned for posting the IP addresses and ports of those servers on ESR.

I started with the players strenx and rapha and recursively added friends checking for a div html tag on each players profile that indicates a player being banned. I was impressed when the bot found that so many players are linked. This is the 7 Degrees of Kevin Bacon experiment used against QuakeLive's social context. Obviously this is not a comprehensive list but it does show people who are engaged and active in the social context of QL .

neat! you could try it again with strenx, rapha, cypher, cooller, noctis, disrepute, vor, k1llsen, flesh1, ph4nt0m, ventz and... ins, and see if you get the exact same result :x

You might be interested to know that this is almost exactly how we started crawling qlranks duel.

We used alfaomega as the starting point and from his opponents from 7 days of duel (and opponents of their opponents etc), we managed to crawl almost every dueler in quake live.

most of these people had ofc 20 accounts minimum or more and were easy to ban once a real evidence was provided. ban evasion reports just take seconds to make.

I can't tell if your kidding or stupid. I wrote a computer program that took all of 10 minutes worth of effort that 'crawled' stats for me. And it crawled over 120,000 accounts not 2,000.

it's a good thing to keep a wall of shame so banned players are expelled from the community (tournaments etc.) when they circumvent the sanction or are unbanned by synctard.

Jalle, uncandy,jaxx, RAVESTYLE, zeroQL.. these players was always respected by the community, and what we hear from them after ban by default: pretty much this - "wtf, i never cheated, it's mistake.." whole prison fulled with guys speaking the same..pathetic loosers..

QL anticheat system is far from perfect, id needs t update it atleast once a month. If they want to save the game atleast....

Wow..i have been banned for 6 months cause of Profanity and racism on the forum, i asked for my own ban in that way. Like literally asked for my ban and ended my post with the N and F word.
