i used to use 60 and it was even worse, especially with blurframes on at all :<

I think youtube has a max limit at 30 fps. Just saying.

I did not know this. I am rendering my videos at 30fps. Is this one for instance lagging?

It does, but video encoded at 60 fps or higher will look smoother than video encoded at 30, *even when uploaded to youtube

Look into motion blur and/or interlacing. Maybe you changed something on accident in your encoding.
I never changed my settings, but videos come out just fine. I use default installation of handbrake.

my render settings are the same as when i first started using wolfcam, though i've always had the problem, just not this bad.

people usually say to disable resampling in videos, but i kind of like that little bit of motion blur it gives at high framerate videos, and it has never caused anything quite as bad as this.

i suppose ill try cl_aviframerate 30 and render without resampling at 30 fps in vegas and give that a shot.


what is handbrake? is it like easyh264 or something?

ok, so i downloaded handbrake, and it is like a prettier looking version of easy h264 with a few more options.

i did cl_aviframerate 30
mme_blurframes 0
com_maxfps 30

in vegas, i disabled resampling, interlacing is always none(progressive scan)

i rendered as uncompressed .avi 1280x720 29,97fps, then took the raw avi and threw it in handbrake and this is what i got

i also changed the fov just a bit. it was 130, i made it 110, and i used a little saturation in vegas as well.

at 300 fps, everything looks great.

it appears the old movie making rules from CS:S still apply. 1000 fps for smooths, 300 fps for gameplay.
