LAN movies aren't necessarily worse than the regular ones. There are plenty of examples, and consider the quake footage was just from group stages.

Another thing is people started to realize zeroql is the most overrated fragmovie maker ever. It's not that easy without having using his personal frags using cheats and not stealing movie material from other people.

No, I didn't mean it's worse than "non-LAN" movies, just that it was good presentation of LAN, player and ingame footage, etc

Guys let's do another TDM+Duel Lan this year. It's just so much better when teams and individual players are there.

Also, we should try to have enough PC to do a round robin system for duel (everyone vs everyone), and possibly relax a bit the nation requirement (let resident play, or allow one jolly).

I really enjoyed Adroits and I would like to repeat it.

to prevent a merc-fest, maybe allow one team member to proceed from a neighbouring country? like 3 brits + 1 irish, 3 finns + 1 norwegian/swede, 3 spans + 1 portuguese (or 3 portuguese + 1 span lol), 3 austrian + 1 whatever, 3 ukranians + 1 moldovan, etc

That works if there are plenty of players, but remember the reason why quake is out of DH and why the nations tournament was struggling a bit.

The nations tournament served its purpose, after events getting roflstomped by the same 2 clans. Now it is not stagnated as it was and "the mercenaries" stopped playing a long time ago anyway so they are the underdogs now. Even that term is debatable considering they won't make money on tdm.

With that said, cmon who doesn't want to see ice climbers against noctis+3 again. Now is the time to get as most teams and as skillful as possible instead of practically prohibiting people to attend. Besides it's not like national teams are prohibited.

but im also for 3+1 rule. At least for small countries. Switzerland will never win such an event, but with such a rule we could at least participate. So there will not be a bias in the tournament.

Totaly agree about "relax a bit the nation requirement", i will 90% be in the next Adroits lan ( if it will not take place exactly during my exams ) and of-course i will not have a Tunisian or an African team so joining an another team or an another country is the best solution !

Now this is how a highlights movie should look like. ZeroQL should take some notes.

And although I never played ET, I loved that it was included.

Well, "rock people" can enjoy all kinds of music that comes from living creatures playing musical instruments, like rock of course, but also everything classical, jazz, country, metal, funk and probably whatever that actually has a melody in it.

Well, I oversimplified it, but I don't agree that either group is more stubborn than the other, it's just a matter of person: more open-minded people listen to all kinds of music. Open-mindedness has nothing to do with music taste. I'm more of a rock people, and I even listen to some of the electronic music. I think every music can suit Quake if it's good. Be that rock, epic, electronic, even some pop (like in kicked and removed).

Of course it's an oversimplification, you can't judge people based on such broad musical genres, I wasn't even being serious in my post because I expected you to notice that there is no such thing as "rock people"

Kicked & removed is a parody so a "parody" song goes hand in hand with it, the overall flaw of quake doesn't suit sluggish rock and vocals usually tend to ruin it - I know there are many movies that include a more rock-ish sound and turn out pretty well, it's just that in most cases, or let's focus on adroits 2012 one, it leaves an impression that the movie could be such much more if it wasn't for the whiny unsynced rock ballad in the background.

Very nice movie. Perfect quality an cfg, fitting music, some nice effects and it was nice to see two games in one movie.
Content was lacking though, espeically QL duel.

not sure about comments, but i just have never understood why people dont use short clips to only get in the good stuff. for example with that frag on cypher on dm13, we dont wanna see like 3 missed rockets then one middie, be better to just put the middie from perhaps the rj up, not the rest. other than those moments was rly gud. also lol at twisters last frags then the other cunt takes the ra!!! haha

why are there only frags from duel group stages? K1llsen vs Av3k and Cypher vs K1llsen had lots of good frags.

Good job to the moviemaker, I enjoyed it.

The frags were pretty good in my opinion (not all of them are wow-worthy but most are good ones, at least for a non-pro viewer) and the FX / synchronisation was nice.

Music isn't worse than what we often hear in other movies.

I have to agree with my fellow Canadian above! This Lan highlight movie was excellent being someone who enjoys all types of music I thought it had great choice in music and the scenes in the movie fit appropriately with the music. As for people whining about the frags guys its a LAN there is only so much footage to draw from so for only three days worth of demos to review there were some pretty spectacular frag sequences in there especially in the team events.

Great work to everyone involved and lets keep the ball rolling. Androits 2013!!

I have to say, I usually can't stand watching movies without hitsounds but it just didn't bother me here

only bothered me because there were ingame sounds in the quake parts, and felt quite weird when there were none in the et part :p

fucking good :> and the quake duel song was such a feel-good track, it was perfect.
