- I gave it 10 only for Q3-trick genre. Q3 isn't looks casual and staged, as QL! It is hard, dynamic and really oldschool.

PS, now I've watched id - i was right. These are insane, and some new and new tricks again on classic Q3 maps. Also Thrasher shows unbelievable strafing skill level. Its pleasure to watch him, and others, "in-game" again.

Had to login just to rate and say this after such long break from quakes, was a long flick but the tempo was exhausting. In a good way.

good music choice. editing was nice except I personally prefer when the tricks are all shown from the player's POV, and a lot of them were done shown with wolfcam which can be confusing. still very entertaining

When the first trick shown was a lame overbounce I feared the worst.

Stopped it at the 2mins mark when there had been +10 lame overbounce tricks.

Bcuz it was intended to show certain tricks, all of them, not just 'some'. Actually there were a lot more tricks you can find all them demos in the pack. In my opinion the movie is too short. If you find it boring, I'm ok with that, someone else will watch it with pleasure.
There are a lot of people who will make a pop-art video for you, put some Britney Spears as a soundtrack do a 3 min vid with some mindblowing effects, this is one is totally opposite.

it's not impossible just because it seems impossible, it is possible indeed
1 jump from platform to rg - there was scripted demo many years ago, with landing speed only 560u, so it's still possible with bare hands. the hard point is that you can't use a normal cj to do it, you have to strafe opposite to the circle or you'll miss the block.
the quad plasma trick - it's fully legit, and easy. it's still a bug of q3 physics, like strafe and many others and it's always there, just not discovered and used in actual runs/tricks until recent years. check this thread

5/10 just didn't do it for me.

Imagine, all the best trickers in 5 minute CTF-matches, first to 10 caps on each map, and shots from the red team didn't affect the blue team/vice versa and enemy models were ghost's. That would be intense. But human bot's don't exist yet except for w3sp. ....and tox<3

I always wanted overbounces to become a normal part of quake, I remember clock using an overbounce on dm6 to get mad speed and chase some fag down and frag him with like 2 seconds left in a game once, it was fucking epic.

I'm thinking about a gun that when you shoot it at the ground/wall or whatever that part glows and becomes a bounce pad

so imagine if your enemy is about to fall and you shoot below him so he bounces up then you change weapons and destroy him in air with whatever combo

or if you combine it with rocketlauncher against a wall and make yourself fly fast as fuck at a nigga and own him.

it would be crazy fucking awesome. (take note niggas, some bitch will totally steal my idea)

If I designed a game it'd be so fucking outrageously fun, ya'll bitches missing out.

Wow, 11/10 for originality, demos had that oldschool feel, no special effects (other than re-cams), the music was perfect and the logo blew my mind, ez 10. Oh and, dqopbs 07:38 trick, holyshit, thats what freestyle is all about!

very good movie with some awesome tricks
but as for me... most of the time camera sucked :S

I give you a 9/10 to make the part 4 and able to give you a 10/10 on your next Trick em all ;) I enjoyed seeing it mate!

Ok here's my rate :o

Music: 10/10, rly great music choice, fit for the whole edition/movie
Edition/camera: 9/10 there was some small edition problems.
Tricks: 8/10 most of them was decent tricks with some great nice ones, latter was less.. Bit over use of OB jumps. I wanted to give a 7 for this, but i know its rly hard find new tricks etc.
Other things: CFG i dint liked it that much. There should been bit changes on weapon models and they gfx's. This could have been made better. 5/10

Overall: 7,5/10. Great movie but could have been much-much better.

New trick on maps from 1999 ? This game is amazing :O

EDIT: have actuallky just watched the whole 17 mins. Whilst a couple of the tricks were pretty nice to watch, the majority of the movie consisted of over bounces - which gets boring very fast. Once you've seen one overbounce, you've seen them all unfortunately - nothing new to watch here. Because there were so many overbounces, the whole movie kinda remonded me of the OPC Promo series of tricking movies (see http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fj5clQE7SbU) - the first tricking films I watched years ago. I failed to see the point in overbounces then and still do now :)

Boring movie for me, stopped it after 8 mins.

Was cool to see they kept it to maps not designed for tricking but I feel like some of those tricks I had definitely seen before in older videos...or maybe in this video they were varied ever so slightly so that wouldn't be considered "copies."

Cool video but I'm just so skeptical with tricking videos these days cause you never know for sure what has been done legit (timescale 1.0, no scripts etc.).

Cool to see Thrasher is still killing it and still has that passion for tricking after all of these years!

awesome video. i love trickjump movies on classic and old maps, instead of these huge trick-box-style maps that are used in most movies.

overall feel was nostalgic for me, trickjumps on dm12 make me remember phatjumps, and seismologic.

I would like to tell a few words about the music in this movie.
Remember, after all these years, it's still THE QUAKE, the deadly arena, not your grandmother's birthday party.
All them horror movies and stuff are just crying little babies compared to this game, that's what you ever shouldn't forget about.
Grab your dirty pants, stop wailing and watch it as a man.

the editing was probably the best i have seen in any q3 movie so far. tricks were crazy, but far too much ob stuff imho, i just dont enjoy tricks using ob. no matter how impressive they may be.

The music made the flow of the movie so enjoyable to watch - despite there being a few too many overbounce tricks in the first 4mins it was fun as hell to watch. dm6 with thresher was awesome, the plasma ceiling made me 'Oo' ... so much more that was impressive - can't list it all here.

The tricks I saw were really nice. But then again I saw only 1/3 of tricks since it's so dark that you have to watch it in a dark room with no light on to see anything :/

well, that's the default quake3 graphics, it was meant to be that dark ;) try VLC player, it should become brighter

Honestly, I understand the complexity of the tricks and the effort that was put into the tricks. I have to say that this is most def my favorite DF movie for 2013.

The tricks difficulty was 10/10.
The creativity of them was 10/10
Music fit the mood so well. 10/10
The editing was amazing aswell. Some of the FFW parts were very breathtaking. 10/10

Loved every second of it. Loved the words at the end. Loved that awesome subtle lens flare. The movie cfg was perfect aswell. Everything was put into one very awesome masterpiece.
