How well do those Superlux's perform while gaming? Did you mod them btw?

Actually pretty good.

I used it for everything (music and movies too) all the time, for more than a year and I was quite surprised how well it performed - and I'm being somwhat audiophile.
For this price (35-40 $), it's an excellent choice, not just for gaming but for everything.

The clamp force could be smaller but you can loosen it if you're not feeling comfortable with it. After a strech, it becomes better, you can use it for hours without serious issues.

Semi-open circumaural design.
A good 100 hours long warmup period is needed to achieve the true sound of this thing but it sounds ok even before this procedure.
The low tones and bass has good depth, even a bit too much. The mid-range is balanced and warm, the highs are quite crisp while being a bit too forward.
Better dynamics and details than the HD 662, medium isolation - but it's semi-open, so no wonders here.

The cable is really long and flexible while being thick and sturdy. Golden plated jack (and a 6.3 mm converter, gold plated too) at the end of the road. This is how a cable should be.

Having a seperate sound card makes things even better. More sound detail and a bit dampened lows and highs making the soundscape more balanced.

I didn't mod it yet. The AKG ear cushions are expensive, but I'm planning on a sock-mod for the earpads - if I can fight my laziness.

Overall, I'm quite satisfied with it for an all-around choiche and it's CERTAINLY worth the bucks I invested in. You also got a nice carrying pouch for the price, too.

If you have 450 dpi, 2.8 sens and default pitch and yaw then you have 33cm/360, not 30.

/edit: i used to play q3 with logitech mx300/g1/g3's and a sens in between 22 and 25cm/360, no accel/fov 100 on different qcks (slower pads) for a long time, aiming with wrist mostly. it's probably due to the weight of the xai, i'm struggling with how heavy it is :(

That's because of the 450dpi urban legend, enough turbonerds ended up bringing rulers and ocd to a lowsens contest to consider their results accurate imo. Can't actually prove it, the sensor obviously behaves differently on different surfaces, it just happens to be pretty much what I found out when I tested my wmo and my 3.0 and what most of the people who I've spoken too and who followed a decent enough protocol ( but still ghetto ofc ) ended up with as well. Both old and recent models, 3.0, wmo. Can't remember about imo.

It's def not 400 or 450, it's somewhere in between. But really, the deviation is so small nobody here would even pretend they notice, except maybe jamalz or weird.

Ehm... I don't have strong aim / mouse control. I play fine with any mouse.
I have noticed that my current one has massive negative accel though when I put the DPI to the max (an old G5). But in general as long as I can drag it and it doesn't skip like mad and it's Hz is high enough (higher than 250) I don't notice anything :D

Heck I even played with a wireless mouse for a while and couldn't tell why it felt strange.

I'm sure about the netcode though ;)

Works flawlessly on 500 dpi and low sensitivity. Seems to be a cheap build tho, on my 3rd one already. I'll use this until Ninox Aurora comes out, hopefully it'll be good.

First one got a really weird sensor problem where it would randomly fail when moving right, but moved just fine to the left, this happened about 2 months after I got it. Second one started to double click after about 5 months I think.

I changed the DPI of the Y-axis because when drawing circles on the screen it were horizontal ovals, so I tweaked it to be circles. It was especially a problem looking up and down ingame.

RAT 7 does actually have a shitty sensor with Z-Axis bug. RAT 3 doesnt have that bug and is ok but only with a sens higher than 35cm/360 cos the max tracking speed is quite low.

That's the 5600DPI sensor on the old version, but was fixed with the newer 6400DPI version. I don't have this issue.

It's what I'm told by the person who gifted it, I searched for it but could only find people referring to the 5600 version.
