I remember years ago when I had a bad pc that wouldn't play all movies and a bad internet connection where it would take me 1-2 hours to download most of them I would watch streams all the time. Nowadays tho when I have to wait 10mins to watch a movie in HD with 60fps instead of a crappy stream and can freely delete it streight after if I don't want to watch it again the choice is pretty simple.

Very nice! Music was original and very fitting, loved the cfg and wolfcam use. Intermissions and outro were funny =)

I wasn't gonna use ingame sounds at all initially because I don't think they fit very well for the "classy/genteel" atmosphere I was going for. But some frags didn't really come across very well without the sounds so I added them where I felt it was needed.

Thought I would probably end up rating this a 4 or 5 after a few seconds but as the movie went on I liked it more and more.

And while the "back to basics" look wasn't really out of place, I'm sure applying proper lighting effects and whatnot wouldn't have hurt :p

actually to me it looked like there was no way to reach him with rocket before he disappears - hence you shot in the direction of his movement (and hit the wall cause that angle was impossibru)
only way to kill him would be having rail out and only way this selfkill would have mattered much is a mate fragging someone at the same time.

so in any way this scene couldnt have any better result, given the circumstances

Awesome movie, didn't expect this at all. I love how you made the retro theme work with one of the ugliest picmip 0 configs I have ever seen.
Fitting music, good sync, the pummeling to In The Hall Of The Mountain King was glorious!

What disturbed me a little is the lack of a dominant palette, which is a result of the texture sets being all over the hue/saturation plane.

Maybe, given the music and setting, one could have tried to unify the look applying some color filters or so.

I don't mind the cfg or vertex it is your option and it should be used to go with the overall theme of the movie, but there is one thing I would like to see in the next projects, disable sampling or resampling option for the clips imported in vegas... it is in anti's tutorial i think. If you don't know what i am referring to just right click and properties on any wolfcam clip in vegas ;)

I actually tried disabling resampling and it looked aweful. I know what it should do on paper but it seemed to just lower the overall sharpness (which doesn't make any sense at all). Perhaps I should do a separate render for youtube in which I would disable resampling and add a little more blur instead. I do think the downloadable file looks as good as it gets quality-wise (config aside).

Well yes, youtube makes it more obvious as you upload a 60 fps vid and it coverts it to 30 fps.

If you apply motion blur in post you fuck up the sharpness, you should use mme_blur and play with the settings, I can still see that frame blending vegas generates but it's less obvious because of the higher framerate.

Idk i just think that resampling fucks the vids.

i liked the cfg, it gives a unique look. would skip the HUD, or at least use only one colour (health and stuff). also the shamaniac tribute doesnt fit a gentlemans theme and could be considered asslikking the esr folks, but maybe this is a bit harsh.

Loved it. Couldn't name a single flaw that comes to my thinking.

Great music, nice syncing, clear visual cfg, no annoying visual effects, awesome frags, many funny moments: 10/10. Clearly it's not another template frag movie, there's something refreshing about it. Would watch again!

I limited my comment to mention only pluses and I think it
s quite fair :). There are movies on higher level for 9/10 and there are top notch movies deserving position in hall of fame. I don't find this movie in none of those categories, but 8/10 is still very good score.

it comes down how critical you are and how easy you give 10s out. on imdb i only ranked 3 featuremovies of a 10. 9-10 means for me its perfect and not from this earth. an 8 is really good imo.

that version is made by someone else rather than community movie makers, like dfwc2010 did which has no community highlight movie at all, as the youtube one is made by author just for fun instead of for broad audience. this time there will be one though, just not out yet.

i saw good frags, tdm scenes+++, playfun, humor. laid back music. editing lacks a bit behind. actually i liked that the parts looked graphicly different (cfg), maybe others dont like that.

im feeling well entertained, as ipx said before. congrats, good movie.
