CZM and mouse accel, what has the world gone to.. srsly though, why change to use accel after all those years, it's not like there's a reason if he's still a high sense player?

tracking has become more important over the years and it's easier with a lower sens :/

In clan kapitol q3 tdm days he was one of the original low sens players, then raised it years later for duel i guess.

errh IIRC mark c said something about sens being doubled on olders windows

and the oldest config I found of his had sens 3 zoombummed to 110 fov

which = 3.9~ * 2 = 7.8 sens at 400 cpi ( just a recalling not completely sure )

which is close to 7 sens zoombummed to 100 fov in his later configs = 7.8~

Windows mouse settings are basically the same back to at least Win 98. The main difference is that Q3 doesn't have in_mouse 2 (raw input), so if you changed the mouse settings from the 6th notch (default), or checked "enhance pointer precision" it would change Q3 sensitivity. Anyway, you're free to ask him yourself. Fatal1ty's Q3 config has really high mouse accel because he lowered his Windows sensitivity a lot, for example.

IIRC it was something to do with enhance pointer precision, having it on or off meant that your sens was doubled , I could just be recalling something weird though.

iirc you are correct, at least for win2k, sens was doubled, as a me sure taken by most game developers, that's why even when enhanced pointer precision is off, some games enables it again, thats because before winxp, you could force accel curve to max, hence 2xsens.

Then there his sens barely changed till QL.

okay, so he lowered it a bit and added a little bit of accel to keep high sense feeling, but get better tracking, makes sense then.
