Event: FACEIT

Here are the FACEIT Daily Cups for 11 to 14 March. All the cups will kick off at 13:30 CST, with check-ins opening at 12:30 CST.

Monday will feature the Level 4 and Level 8 duel cups, while on Wednesday the other two levels, 6 and 10, will be able to face each other off.

As like last week we will also be hosting two Clan Arena cups. On Tuesday the CA 2v2 Test Cup will take place, while on Thursday teams of four can get their fix. You can create a team in the right top corner, be sure to only add one extra person to the team (2/4 - depending which cup - players per team max.). If you are already in a team, you will have to quit it. Be sure all players check-in.

Why? The only complaint I have seen so far is that people are having a hard time finding the bracket. This has been in the same place since the start. The entire technical part has improved a lot.

Why are you pretending that nobody has had trouble creating and joining teams during CA cups? Or that the register / check-in processes stop working occasionally? Don't get me wrong, I totally support FaceIt and want to see it prevail, but the site still has technical bugs as well as bad user-interface design. Just idling in #faceit one sees a great deal of people who are either experiencing bugs or just confused by the site navigation/structure/layout/functionalities, which is just as bad as experiencing bugs, if not worse.

If the admin control panel is properly designed, you should have a record of every single incident that users have communicated to the admins via the "call admin" tool (in addition to those incidents that you should have gathered manually from people who communicate them via IRC). If it's not automated, then Insan3 and co. should have been manually making notes of every incident that pops up anyway. Not saying that they haven't been, but if they have, for you to be unaware of all the bugs and user-interface issues, there is something wrong somewhere along the line.

I am not pretending that people had trouble creating them. But that issue has been fixed straight away, so I don't see a reason to make it an issue now. Check-in process is an issue that only came up recently. It is just a visual bug, if you refresh the page you will see yo have been checked in. It should be fixed though.

Regarding the interface I get a lot of mixed feedback. Obviously the people who disagree are going to be more vocal about it in public. We are working on ways to make it better though, but once you are on the QL page I don't really see how it can be very hard to find things.

We have a big update coming up soon, which should have fixed most bugs. But a bug fix could potentially create another ten bugs.

There's a few things that I can name:

* Sometimes you perform an action (e.g., try to change your personal info or avatar), and a) nothing happens, b) there is no error message. Or, as a variation thereof, sometimes things randomly disappear and then reappear on F5. This is very frustrating — if there's something wrong, I'd like to get an error!
* Regarding the already mentioned brackets issue: When I return to FACEIT, I'm greeted with the "Welcome back" page. It displays, very clearly, one upcoming tournament. Make it also show ongoing tournaments — problem fixed!
* "ERROR: You must be in a team of 1 to join this (duel) tournament"
* Sometimes tournament info/brackets are not accessible if you're not logged in

* Can I see my chat history?

Sorry if I sound too harsh, I support FACEIT and wish all the well ;-)

1. Lack of option to "remember login"!

2. Links copied from address bar MUST work when copied and pasted to someone who's not logged in/registered.

Only SOME of the pages may require you to be logged in (like link to "edit profile" page, NOT link to tournament registration page which is the only resource listing participants), and ONLY those are accepted to present an error page. Redirecting to main page is NOT an acceptable way out.

3. Make it work in old/embedded/mobile browsers. Start testing with Firefox 3.5 (in case you're not aware, it's still supported and used in corporations), then move to some old Android tablets.

as I mentioned it earlier in the other faceit news: we are still waiting for our money + want to know if you can transfer the money from 1 account to another as we had to create new accounts for cup no. 1 or 2 as the site was buggy.

q3 duel and tdm people play other games when there are prizes involved. When those run out they come back to their game and mod, on a continuous cycle repeating since the 90s.

The best aimers aren't in ca 4v4. They are in tdm and ctf.

The only thing that can defeat a team of toxjq and zamuz in ca are gopher and arrw.

point is if there were a $20,000 lan the top #3 clans wouldn't be of ca-only players but duelers and tdmers. They don't care about some random week day cup with laughable prizes so they don't practice and the best don't show up. I'm talking prime toxjq here with his 50%+ lg acc against the very best players in the world, not demon (sorry).

An alternative is making faceit sundays ca-only, which is a horrid idea but if it happens that would be a way to prove my point.

And most probably I can beat you with my feet btw lol, not even knowing your nickname.

mb ur right that the best 3 teams could be mixes of duelers... which really prepared to take the win. but be aware that teams like faces of meth would give them a hard fight.

the part where u beat me in ca is massivly funny cause im sure i would roflstomp u like an ant bro :D :D

just signup at facit 2v2, 4v4 or u can take ur loss like a man on a private server, where noone can see u... i dont care :D
or first ask players who participated and palyed me :)
