16 teams and about 1000 viewers for a tdm cup without significant prizes and exposure, very nice.

TDM EC finals had like ~400 viewers tops

I was skeptical about FACEIT TDM, but 1000 viewers and those signups? Holy shit. FACEIT is really keeping Quake alive.

Very enjoyable cup. I wouldn't even bother tuning up if it wasn't for those old chaps trying to spice up the tournament. Later I stayed for pure TDM entertainment. Still, TDM without disrepute seems... strange?

Hope to see more of this TDM events in the future.

kind of sad that zoot streaming tdm gets more viewers than lvlup, the specialists.

Then again, there was a duel tournament and TDM was a follow up.
This move, intentional or not, most likely brought some duel viewers to stick around and watch a game or two of TDM, possibly hooking them.
I'm sure the numbers would be much lower if there was just TDM streamed on that day.

I watched a bit of the vod and realised I have not watched anybody else stream TDM in years.

While its kind of sad we get fewer viewers for TDM than zoot, its a totally different scenario. We are consistent and stick to our one mode regularly (at least until the last couple of months where I have been too busy to stream), this means (I hope) our commentary and coverage can be specalised.

Zoot has done a good job building himself up as a personality (despite deficiencies) first using holysh1t, then leveluptv, now faceit. Contrast what he did to build a personal 'brand' to nvc.

Still what you get is an individual without specialist knowledge in TDM giving a basic commentary of the game mode which the broader audience he attracts through duel is accepting of.

The issue for us in TDM is that even 1000 viewers is not enough to be sustainable.

I think they won't mind any streamers as long as it doesn't overlap with their own stream.

maybe i am doing too much of a deal for a one night cup.. but i think norway server could have been a good option for a 3rd map. (if we played it in sweden they would have won no doubts)

anyway ggs.. i was really tired when we got to last maps i hope i wasnt too much on stream : )
