Hello all,
I am relatively new to Quake Live and yesterday I was dropped from a server; I was banned.
The reason: "Cheating". (whole support ticket can be found below)
I had been chirping some people sparsely because, despite being new, I have pretty good aim, especially with the Rail gun, as it is similar to AWPing in Counter-strike (a game I have been playing for 8 years). However, my performance was by no means amazing, and I won 1 game in maybe 3 hours of play time.
I was also taught by a player with about 25 days of play time (in addition to many many hours of quake, quake 2, quake 3 and various mods) on how to play the game.
Nothing about my play style or statistics would lead anyone other than an emotionally compromised and/or inexperience person to believe I was cheating; there are players far better than me and if I am banned then I wish them luck.
This is an absolute joke, and right now I am fully banned form playing a game I was trying to learn and enjoy (mainly to benefit my Counter-Strike: GO accuracy).
I have never cheated in my life, and have played many competitive leagues in CS on a steam account that is over 6 years old. I also play on ESEA (if anyone is familiar with Counter-Strike, they will know it is the industry leading anti-cheat client.)
Here are my CS pug stats, which are definitely above average although not amazing:

The only thing I can think of if that I have f.lux running which changes the colour temp of the monitor based on the time of the day. http://stereopsis.com/flux/ But, based on the support ticket, I do not believe they actually have anything other than a subjective opinion to base the ban on.
I have already sent this much to the support staff, but they seem pretty set on just being unprofessional.
Pissed and looking for advice. Maybe an email of someone above the support staff that I can message?
Thanks in advance,
Alex
