i dont always give a movie 10/10 on esr, but when i do, its a KOS movie...this is a rare example when its not. awsome job with the syncing.

Very nice syncing with the dnb track, spot on name for the movie due to that. I lol at the attempts of "dramatic" looks on games with basic 3d, just a glowing square moving in slow-mo, but... eh, you put effort into this and i like it. Gave it a 9 because its too short... But guessing it wouldve ruined the movie as a whole if you were to add more minutes with different track.

I enjoyed the intro; the thing that annoyed me was the stop-rewind-ffwrd-stop-rewind "syncs" during the main portion of it. Other than that; it was most enjoyable.

I was already in love with the movie when I heard Venetian Snares.

theres too many clips on those aim-training maps (i might be mistaken, only touched QW once).
theres a reason no one puts eye2eye/thunderstruck in QL movies (except heartless, obviously)

overall a nice movie tho!

Da fuck, this is rather bad, to much epilepsy.

Make the combat smooth and I would have found it good, this was really annoying to watch. Especially around the milton part it starts to get out of hand.

in fact i'll stopped watching after a few min ... not epilepsy worthy ^ ^

Love 60 fps movies, but you should always record at a higher framerate than you're planning to encode with if you're going to use slow motion, because otherwise the slow mo will have less frames and will look choppy like it does here.

I don't know if it's my computer or ezquake, but the sound breaks if capture at more than 60 fps... Otherwise i would have done that !

What you could do is first capture it normally for the sound, then capture at higher fps and use the sound from the other clip.

And you could of course slow down the demo by 50% and capture at 60 fps, but the sounds are probably not slowed naturally, or are they?

I could do that, but i would need even more space as it's not possible to capture only the sounds in a second pass. I'll see what i can do for next one :)

I usually like QW movies but this one is painful to watch... Too much editing.

In fact this might be the first QW movie ever I have rated under 9 because I fucking love the game.

But cant in good conscience give it over 3 this time because of the stop, reverse and go action.

Seems a little harsh? I agree it rather outlives it's name, but still has redeeming features? Freecamming and frags were both top notch...?

Its hard to enojoy if you feel its painfull to watch.

i'll reserve judgement after i've watched the 60fps full quality version.. edit: as expected youtube ruined the movie (as it does with 60fps movies), have to download this one (like most gaming movies really!) tbh from the comments and such i expected more, but it was a good movie! being honest here is kinda difficult with all these 10/10s before me cuz i don't wanna seem like a negative nancy, anyways i personally felt you missed the opportunity to sync cam movement to the cello (in the intro especially). also the twitch rgb split effect has been so overdone, i feel like the movie would have been much better if it offered some diversity from the effects standpoint. i'll give you that the rgb split thingy fits the song well, infact i used the same plugin for my first movie (in 2008 so it's old and bad) with the same vsnares song cuz i felt like it fit so well :)

I didn't think I suffered from epilepsy, but now i do.

Any reason to play QW over Q3/QL? Just looks similar...but worse.

That said, some really epic frags and nice editing. Then the epilepsy really got out of hand. I guess that was a theme...but sorta killed the fluidity of the movie for me. 8/10, good job!

Some people just love the game and how it's played, same could be asked about QL or any game for that matter.

QW has tons of nice features like&#65279; smoothest QTV ever, MVD demos, big network of proxies makes you able to get ping like 2-3 times lower than direct one.

Movement and speed also makes QW much more aggressive in terms of gameplay.

Very healthy and friendly community.

And last but not least - no RailGun.

This is the reply I wanted :) I'm sticking where I am for now but at least I know the benefits. At first look the player models look slightly more awkward, suppose that's why I made a judgement. Might even give it a go sometime!

QuakeWorld 4on4 team deathmatch is the prime reason to play QW. It also has basically all the features QL has client-wise and more to it. Also movement isn't as limited as in QL etc.

I don't think QL movement should be considered "limited", or at least not in a derrogatory sense. It's just different and highly enjoyable regardless :|
