40 minutes was exactly what we waited for aswell after 3rd reschedule and actually not taking defwin :) Gotta love it!

Actually it was 400 minutes, 7th reschedule and 20 defwin proposals.

After actually getting the defwin but still trying to make the game happen, its just disrespectfull to show up 40 minutes late.

Agreed, but there were no 3 reschedules. We agreed on a date, I couldn't play due to an emergency (the three of us were playing pickups against tg 2 hours before the scheduled time and avek was online an hour before the game, ready to play).

As regards the evening we've actually played, the hour was forced upon us and I got off the train at 19:54, so I did my best to join the game as soon as possible given that I had to plug my computer in and everything. It wasn't a matter of disrespecting you, but a matter of not being able to bend time.

There was actually 3 scheduled dates where you couldnt play 2 of them, and it's not like Poland only have 4 good players available. Its just upsetting when you for the 3rd time waste time because some ppl dont show up in time, or let you know beforehand :/

Searching for fair server starts only after everyone is on some random German server, 00:30 Moscow time. In the end, the decision is made to play in Sweden with two Russians on ping 20. Only then map picking can start.

Russia drops Terminatria, Poland drops Terminus.

Russia picks dm20 but Poland wins it with crazy moves of gienek and Av3k's 20 impressives.
Poland picks dm14 but Russia wins it by delaying BS (Poles will keep attacking RA 15 seconds before quad).
Russia wins Dreadful Place (421 taking 20 RAs himself, Poland taking 8 in total) and finishing it up with Limbus for a 3:1.

Let me complete:

Russia wins final map by 40 frags as pavel takes the 16:55 quad which he acquired with the rail horror from Latrommi few seconds before the pickup. Last 3 min of the map is pure garbage time due to the lead, and I would even say that Russia wins 3:0 on maps.

open question to any TDM wizard: how would colwn and salivating monstahz rate against 102 if they were to come back?

I'm no wizard (promise) but I would assume colwn would beat them on "old" maps.

nice score. but yeah i was talking about in-shape teams who have solid "core" members. ie. colwn = winz, link1n, stermy, tox & monstahz = noctis, spart1e, krysa, av3k

yea it would be much closer but i still think 102 are stronger (atleast if they keep playing like they are doing now)

edit: (im talking about online games.. on lan things might differ mostly because of lan experience(players like pavel have shown to be as strong on lan as they are online but 4 players like tox winz linkin and stermy can bring their aim to an unique level on lan))

i would root for salivating monstahz tho if they came back.. krysa and avek two of the players i respect the most for their games

But may I mention the Adroits LAN? Joke all you want about Russians drinking too much (or too little), but the fact right now is that they win reliably by forcing everyone to play on Swedish server, but lost the only LAN (and not even to proper clans!)

you're right.. thats why i made a distinction between online and lans (expecially since adroits lan had not the highest level as you said)..

but still the level they are playing atm online is unmatched since they added latrommi.. we feel powerless when we play them.. before they added him it was maybe 60/40% or 55/45% in favour of them

before latrommi there was lexaaa (ikkeds) far from worse player in the team. and the main reason (imho) why 102 are #1 online right now is that there is noone left who can compete on the same level. deus/zyv/noctis/krysa/winz/tox/stermy/l1nkin/juven1le... the top carriers, almost left quake. and the one who's still playing (av3k / zyrinx / purri mb) can't carry the team alone to be top1 (probably due to skill gap between playerrs within the team and the amount of practice they put into). so, the remaining top guys who's still into quake and who's played a lot of games together are winning right now. nothing special.

lan is lan, it's a different story. when there will be lan with money, there will be colwn and monstahz and they will get top2 probably.

plus, you make it sound like ping diff is the only and(!) the main reason why 102 winning right now. which is not true. i agree it affects (when 3 person of 102 got 30ping with pavel's 50-60 and opposite team somewhere between 45-60), but it can't affect so badly, that opposite team will lose by >50 frags.

trust me sixyten, if it was equal pings it would be at least 3-2 in maps for sure. And on top level, where players actually CAN controll the map when they gain controll, its possible to gain such a frag advantage cause of ping. Because those players don't lose the control in silly ways, most of the lost controll happen on the quads otherwise its almost impossible to break it, unless u can go crazy with plasma on good ping or other shit, its not tdmpickup where everyone run ffa and some player takes red and doesnt give a shit for another one because he cant count, it has nothing to do with tdm.

And yea, if team like monstahz would practice as much as 102 (who play like 2 years at least together and play often together and this often means at least 10 maps/week) they probably could mercy limit 102 on each map. Avek noctis spartie krysa would be like 8 latrommis ;), well ok noctis is 3 latrommis. Dont expect other teams to do as good as 102, while they played about 3% of games that 102 played together. Any team can be that strong, just practice together, thats all. Good night :).

I dont think that 102 trained so often and hard. Take a look at the stats, they do not play more than 1-3 TDM matches in a week or do not play at all (when nothing serious is planned). And yes, maybe you are right when compare veterans of TDM with Latrommi, but you forget that there's no worse than players like pavel_ and 421, who have more experience and who are able and know how the game's turnover

m3h. would have, could have... the fact is that 102/Russia are the best online at the moment, they worked for it and sincere congratulations to them. same congratulations are in order for polish team who theoretically overperformed in the cup, but i knew they are capable of great things this time. well dome m8s!
