Back in 2005/2006 selrahc37 was locked away on private servers points whoring :P

More importantly, _NOBODY_ in the top10 has any standing what so ever as a good trackmania player of that time. That is factual. The guy who finishes first by a whole 5 seconds wasn't ever a top 50 driver in France!

The competition I played was in 2006, within a year of that selrahc37 had placed 4th at ESWC which had all the best players from around the world, in a game with millions of players.

You don't go from being "crap" to one of the best in the world within a year.

I do of course understand demonizing selrahc37 is key to your point, but you really could have picked one of the best players in the world at a game to slag off :)

selrahc wasn't a great driver in 2005 and early 2006 (For example... he wasn't even in the French national team). He was playing tracks 5 second long to boost his points ratio. That doesn't mean he didn't become a good driver.

I'm more inclined to believe he didn't even play in that cup, unless you can prove otherwise (I'm not even asking you to, as I already know you can't/won't). Because lets face it, it's very strange that one of the top 5 drivers in the entire world can't finish top 10 on an online cup filled with nobodies.

None of those guys in that top 10 were any good, and I know that as I was around back then, racing against the people that actually were good :)

So you've just said you know X amount of players were not good, but you appear to not know if a certain player was playing.

Well, that is half the problem... none of them were at any sort of level to have recognition. Viandox I am very familiar with, he was a decent standard french public player, not near the standard required to reach the national team, and he won that cup with ease.

Anybody playing at a decent level at any game gets recognition from their peers, it's normal.

The major flaw in your story is beating the apparent "4th best driver in the world" - the same driver that can't beat true unknowns in an online cup. And you can't prove that he ever did race in that cup. It would be quite normal to comprehend had he actually played in that cup, he would have won it without much of a problem, being the "4th best driver in the world" of course.

You also seem to have totally ignored the other points I made, by the way. You know, those ones exposing your driving on trackmania as distinctly average. The same video that shows your many mistakes and far from optimal driving lines, and a general lack of trackmania experience. You can't despute those though, as they are there in plain sight, being dissected and exposed as bullshit by a former team UK driver with a high level of understanding for the game you are trying to claim you are amazing at.

I don't intend to go out of my way on my weekend off to download a game I no longer play nor wish to play, I value my time much more than that. I can see you have resorted to clutching at straws now by making unreasonable requests, it is quite a shame.

I'm getting the results from a previous post made by yourself.

It might be hard for you to take, but even though it's "Jamerio the mighty" asking i'm still not willing to give up a portion of my weekend to play a game I no longer want to play. By you own admission you played roughly 5 hours on that one track to record that time.

Given my superior skillset and knowledge of the game and the 6-7 years since playing trackmania on a competitive level, I would guess it would take 1-2 hours to beat that time, at a conservative estimate. 1-2 hours which im not prepared to give up on my weekend off work.

I have played a half a dozen games at a very good standard, but if anyone asked me to play any of those games to prove a point which doesn't need to be proved, then i'll quite happily turn down their requests too. I don't want you to feel like you are getting any special treatment off me when I decline your request, as you're not.

When December rolls around, and I have the entire month off work again, feel free to message me and link this post and i'll be quite happy to spend an evening reliving the glory days on a cold winter's night with Oliver Twist on in the background.

Does it matter if you heard of me? The truth is i've always remained competitive on every single game i've ever played, regardless of my time invested. Hell, i'm pushing 30, play a handful of QL duels for fun once a week and on a good day I can still cause issues for active high end players.

Trying to entice me in to that challenge is the same as me flagging down Floyd Mayweather in the street and challenging him to a fight. Then he obviously turns down the challenge, and I proceed to run around the houses claiming that i'm the best ever as Mayweather 'ducked' a fight against me.

Unfortunately my finiancial standing is secure, but I appreciate that the monetary offer could be a suitable means of persuading somebody to take up a challenge, so for that I will at least commend you.

Well, I wasn't as good as gaLLo back then, maybe 0.3 seconds behind on an average 1min 10 lap or so. Obviously if he made any slight error on a lap and I didn't then i'd win. Either way, it was a team mode.

Well i'm not sure if you'd be able to find any info on it, but it was the original NC1 for trackmania nations, early 2006 if I remember right.

Those tracks were probably nothing in complexity compared to the custom one I posted which required far more endurace and trickery.

I frequently equalled world record times on the default tracks because they were not challening enough to push lower skilled players.

Its only on the custom tracks that were designed to introduce finer levels of play would the gap open up.

All the tracks for the nations cups are made specially for the nations cups. Everyone gets the same amount of time to practice etc once the tracks are released. And they are a more technical type of track, not a speed type track like the one you've done on youtube

But why not play it and show what you can do?

Next time I install it I'll be sure to give it a go. Though, it is more of a speed track, despite what you may think. Watch the entire thing and see how many times you brake. And that isn't because you're a great driver, the track is designed to be driven at speed.

There are plenty of mistakes in your driving, bad lines, wrong choices for taking corners etc. That is normal though for someone only playing for 2 weeks.

Check the 7:40 mark, the slightly different line the followed driver takes. To the untrained eye it is nothing at all, all 3 cars in that pack are going flat out, but he takes a line that sends him across the track slightly instead of directly up the hill. It is risky, but that would maintain his speed for an extra 0.1 of a second, which might not sound like much, but as you can see by the time they reach the top of the hill his speed has declined slower than the 3 cars above him and gaining him 3 places for that round.

That is how close things are at nations cup standard. I hope that clears things up xx

Well, as you know about the 2 shortcuts, we can safely assume that would be another 6-7 seconds less, added on to another 6-7 seconds if I had made a clean run. And for the record, I was 0.6 seconds ahead of the WR time numerous times before the first shortcut.

Clear demonstration of extra ordinary talent across several genres, you would not come close to being able to do that if you were not properly a properly sorted gamer in those genres. No I don't care about spending 10 years to get a few % better. 99.9% of games are played online, its frankly insane to suggest the games are friendly. Especially when the games in question are pro-orientated.

The bottom line is you do not get remotely close to beating recognized and celebrated players who are in the top .1% of the most competive games within that genre unless you have a very solid set of skills in begin with.

As for other games, well I used to play sonic 1 so fast the game crashed trying to keep up, but those are really the only 3 genres that interest me.

As for quakelive, I'm inactive and its a game that takes many weeks to get back into sync as it way more complex than a time trial from trackmania to be remotely competitive, not to mention all the new maps, so if you agree to play one map, lets say the next new duel map that gets released so its neutral... The 30 pounds was for beating it within 3 hours, the 20 within 12 hours and the 10 within 24 hours that was last friday.

I wasn't confident, I just did that to bait you out because I knew even if you could beat it, it would be by such a small amount you would tarnish yourself and boost my status in a game I previously had none in.

You made mistakes because you needed to drive so fast to even come close to me. You proved this by failing to pull more than half a second for every minutes worth of racing.

Let me remind you of some of your self owning critique of my play.

As for using the excuse you had not played it much, that makes little difference in a game like this vs an opponent with my investment in the game, once you warmed up, had you beaten my time within a few hours you could have passed that off, the fact you vanished for 3 days before apparently beating it in no time by very little is not helping you.

I will at least say you were right about selerch not playing, like i said it was 7+ years ago (and you said he sucked anyway), but Viandox was and he held the world record for the track so as for your comment of being played by noobies I have to disagree. Especially when his time was an eye watering 4:46, but he took two shoirtcuts I don't think anyone else knew which means 5:50+ is as good as anyone could hope for without those cuts.

Like I said, sometimes when you win a game you lose it, and when you lose a game, you win it.

see, this is where the part about him _not playing the game_ since god knows when comes into place. the part you tried to ignore the whole time. the time he did now is nothing like the time he would have gotten when he played. but you were forcing the poor guy to install a game he doesn't want to install, play a game he didn't want to play, and now when he managed to beat your time even with all of that, you discard his result as not convincing enough.

that's just sad.

Has anyone read Jamerio's profile on ESR - his hobby is winding up dorks on ESR. What he writes is always in stark contradiction to how he lives or what the person behind 'Jamerio' is like. If he does not utter blatant lies, he mixes truth with weak facts, mixes it up and sells it for something entirely different, as a playful variation. Dorks are not very bright, so they fall for it, thinking they need to argue to win. Something is wrong with you, people, not with Jamerio. His rhetoricall tools are bold and simple, yet by the laws of statistics, there will always be a percentage of people falling for them.
