Summary of important info:

Dreamhack is not funded by a higher organization (or something like that) - it is all sweat and hard work. That's why dreamhack does not do events/games that are not sponsored/funded by a company/someone/whatever. Apparently they were looking to have a team game at DH open but sponsors were not interested in anything except SC2. It did sound like they are trying to get quake in; Ohlen said if it is not gonna be at DHS it will most likely be at DHW. He confirmed they will have Quake again at some point.

Meh. Somehow I find it surprising that Kingston wouldn't fund another Quake tourney, but I guess that's just speculation. By saying that, I wouldn't expect Quake at DHS.

Wouldn't go as far as saying something like "screw dreamhack". The organization has done a lot for Quake and hopefully will do more in the future.

they spoke about quake for literally 20 seconds from what i watched, basically said if theres no quake at DH summer there will be quake at DH winter.

Dunno how popular this stream is meant to be but it was only hovering around 700 for the hour i had it on.... Zoot gets 700+ (into the 1000+ usually) on his daily shows =)

It was actually quite a nice and enjoyable show for me. Also Ohlen seems to be a really smart and funny guy.

For me, a quake free DHS13 is actually fine, as long as DHW13 has this mind-blowing tournament with a:
+ Huge prize pool
+ ALL top players attend (including Av3k, despite his "retirement"). No drop-outs!
+ Many great casters, so there's variation.
+ At least BO5 on all matches
+ Killer coverage (top-notch teasers, interviews, stream production value, behind the scenes footage, fragmovies, etc)

Make it fucking faceit legends cup, but on LAN with all current legends attending as well!

Rapha, Cooller, Cypher, Av3k, K1llsen, Strenx, Evil, Pavel, Fraze, Dahang, Zero4, Baksteen, Dem0n, P0ni, Guard, Fire_bot, Matr0x, Sc00t, Vo0, Twister, Stermy! MORE MORE MORE! AaaAAAH!

Oh yes! Last DH had that, and it was perfect! BO3 is too little for Quake when it's on LAN imo, as it can be over in just 20 minutes...
