I guess that's about it. Yup.

Hello there. About 2 years ago I found myself interested in downloading duel demos from past tournaments for Quake Live. Sometimes, it would be hard to do this. Demos could be missing, or not all in one easy-to-download package, etc. So, I decided to do this for myself and for the QL community. Not everyone will be interested in what I'm presenting, but hopefully at least a few people enjoy it.
To give a little more explanation, essentially what I have done is gone back from today to 2008 and rounded up as many Quake Live demos as I could from LAN and the occasional online tournament. For the sake of my sanity, I chose to focus mostly on the major tournaments of Quake Live. It would simply be too difficult and time-consuming to try to do every tournament ever held. I then sorted each tournament to follow the structure of the tournament as it actually unfolded by having sub-folders for each stage of the tournament. In each tournament folder I also include a .txt file (titled "Links.txt") with links to VODs, tournament coverage, and more. Check out the picture below for an example of how the tournament folders are sorted and an example of the Links.txt file included with each tournament.

As you can see, I sort the tournament all the way down to the maps the players played. I did this for a few reasons. One, I like to organize things and became obsessed. Two, this makes it much easier to find specific demos. Three, with this format, people can essentially re-watch entire tournaments in order with demos and relive the exciting moments of the past.
However, this organizational format presents some issues. Most pressingly: how will people watch the demos? For most people, they watch demos by putting them in the demos folder for QL and using the /demo command to have it play. But, this is not possible if the demos are sorted into sub-folders. There are two solutions to this:
1. I can provide downloads to folders of tournaments which are not sorted into things like Group Stage, maps (etc) if people wish
2. People can download either wolfcamql9.2 or QLDemoTools
I strongly recommend using either wolfcam or QLDemoTools. For my purposes, I simply have made it so that demos are automatically opened with QLDemoTools when I double click on them. With this, I can have the tournaments stored on my external hard drive and more easily/quickly access demos I wish to view, without the need of placing them in the QL demo folder. For wolfcam, you will need to place the folders of the tournaments in 'wolfcam-demos' or 'quakelive-demos' directories, then find the demos through the program. Furthermore, both of these programs have features such as fast forward, slow motion and rewind which are not available when watching demos using /demo.

So, without further ado, here is the list of all the tournaments I have compiled, sorted alphabetically. Below are three links. The first two contain all the tournaments individually - simply click on one to download it. Alternatively, click 'download' at the top right to download all at once (note: this method of downloading has the potential to create errors, such as mixing demos between folders, so take precaution). The third link is for a torrent containing all the demos; please seed the torrent if you download it to be fair to others. Also, none of these websites require registration.
If there are any issues with the links, demos, etc, please let me know. In particular, if the links ever 404, please notify me so I can fix them.

One last thing. There are of course some demos and tournaments missing. This entire process has been unexpectedly long and arduous. Download links do not last forever on the internet, so tournaments such as the IEM4 Asian Finals haven't been included since by the time I started this project, the download links 404'd. Whenever a demo is not available, I include in that match/Map folder a .txt file titled "Demos not available" so that you know they aren't there. If anyone wishes to provide me a download link for any demos for tournaments I am missing, put them here in this thread or email me at oakiduke@hotmail.com. I will then update this thread so that people can access them in the future. Also, if you notice anything wrong with the compiled tournaments (wrong demos, broken links in .txt files, etc), let me know by, again, posting in this thread or emailing me.
I guess that's about it. Yup.
