tyryl has been playing since early q3 days. he doesn't cheat, he's not even particularly competitive anymore. when I played he'd mostly just sit in spec and chat. sure if you came close to beating him or won he'd give you grief. he'd also go on and argue about nonsense sometimes. there is a degree of skill there tho, somewhere close to semi-pro in NA in his heyday.

I was an ffa regular that's why I stick up for him. I haven't played in almost a year and don't plan on playing again, getting mad is pretty much impossible.

permanently banning people for text is ridiculous. if behaviour is a problem mute them. I used to admin a regularly populated q3 server from 09-11. if someone spammed or insulted to much they got a temp mute. constant problem? the mute lasted longer. cheating/boosting is bannable stuff.

if the player is muted, behaviour is a non issue and you don't lose a player. I've never heard of id staff even using a mute. its really an irresponsible way of admining. emailing warnings then banning the person instead of just muting shows lack of intelligence.

I don't know. You go into someone's house or business, you have to follow their rules. Personally I don't care what people say ingame. The only thing that ever bothered me was back before we could turn chatbeep off. With it off I have to pay attention to chat to see what's being said. If someone like him is on the server, I don't pay attention.

That being said though, I can definitely see how some people might be offended, upset, or whatever at the shit he spews. And they have every right to be if that's the case.
