Doesn't have multiplayer. I rarely play new single player only games, unless they are a masterpiece (won't be) and the stars align, or is a franchise I particularly like (nope),
I like it even if its going to be overshadowed by games like call of shit and battleturds 4, I mostly like the story they were going with, Nazis in Space hasn't been done yet (I think) but I hope it plays like wolf3d, rtcw and any other old school shooter there is.
machinegames will deliver a good singleplayer game, with some interesting interactive stuff besides the shooting (using a laser cutter, driving? flying?). im looking forward to another game on the id tech 5. machinegames with the founders of starbreeze did good games (riddick, darkness). they know what their do. some say the graphics of the ingame scenes look not up to date. maybe thats console footage. i like it. i wouldnt hype it before release, but i have a good feeling about it.
raven`s wolf 2009 had an okay singleplayer. it was underrated from the critics. in 2009 everbody liked it. THE VEIL. short after, raven released singularity, another fun to play singleplayer fps.
i think its wise to not go for a multiplayer. mp with optimal mechanics needs worktime, if it isnt a regular cod clone. we all saw the desaster with the wolf 2009 mp from endrant. and brink was a console shooter.
i hope someday a studio take the challenge to make a new wolfenstein multiplayer. with fast quake movement, no 2nd fire, medkits. for 20 bucks people would buy it, im sure. there is room for a team tactical fps besides battlefield and cod. rtcw was great. et with huge weapon spam was nice.
horaaay for another shitty COD clone-slash WW2 period piece under a mix of historical action and downright sci-fi occultism.
Edit: just saw the trailer, seems this follows a theme of alternate history sceience fiction. Watching the 2 trailers (German and English versions), I am somewhat interested in how the game will play out (the 2009 Wolf title made me lose hope in humanity and uninstall the game within half an hour of installing, on the day it premiered).
The World Wor Two sub-section of alternate history is probably the most common one, I recall quite a lot of literature and even film on the subject (what comes to mind the most is "Academic Preserve" by Kir Bulychev, a book which covers the mid 1930s, where the Germans and the Soviets are both in a state of alternate research thanks to a survival of Enrico Fermi's protege, and all the research trials, intrigues (GULAG research closer towards the end), and Fatherland was really dope too.
Actually no the game will have health, armor and weapon pickups similar in the way of the older wolf games and doom as well, they did say regenerating health will only be limited but all the way through 20hp. All of this was confirmed by them
I like wolfentein series. Sadly without multiplayer (but last one failed hard). My last singleplayer fps game was CoD4 in 2007, this looks fun for 1st time for me ;d love sci fi nazi ;d
I heard that people played it on gamescon and enjoyed more playing it than new cod, bf4 or titanfall...
