ive got a facebook account because some friends kinda forced me into it. but FO SHO ill never do the mistake again to click on anything. its beyond me why everything and their grandmothers has to be brought to facebook. when i see something like this i feel like the person in charge was all like "i dont care how much poking someone in the eye with a rusty nail hurts because poking with rusty nails is so modern today and i wanna be part of it"

Who needs more duel? We already have 125fps, FACEIT and occasionally other cups. Let's pump some life into a team gametype! CTF or TDM.

Because Quake Live is still the supreme 1v1 arena fps out there, while there might be other teambased shooters on the market.

It would just be sad for an organization to make a move into Quake Live and then get 6-8 CTF or 10-12 TDM teams signing up (compared to COD/TF2/CSGO tournaments having 32-64 teams), instead of having 60-100 duel players.

But i agree, more TDM and CTF would be good, duel is just the safe way to go :) Even though i like to play TDM and CTF aswell, i just got to admit that i think duel is the most spectator-friendly (and worthy) of the 3 gametypes.

And where would you put it? 125 fps runs throughout the weekdays, FACEIT on Sunday. That leaves us Saturday if you don't want it to clash. Let me remind you how Saturday cups went (Corsair, Zowie): 20-30 signups on average. That drove away those sponsors really fast.

Meanwhile the first FACEIT TDM qualifier produced 12 teams already on Saturday, a day of the week everybody whined about. Moreover, I think TDM can clash with Duel, tdmpickup draft really showed that you can get 80-100 signups during FACEIT Sundays. I think if you put a TDM tournament on a weekday, so it clashes with even less duelers, because of the format of 125fps where 5-8 players play on the same day. Then it could be potentially really successful. FACEIT brought back a lot of old players, imagine TDM tournaments with great prize pool doing the same for the TDM community.

I was watching the fragmovies during FACEIT TDM, and it saddened me to see all those top players who already left Quake. I want them back. And I want new ones as well, but I think many new players are turned off by duel. It's the same for me, I love to watch it, but I always loved playing team games more. I got in QL in 2012 through Level Up TV's TDM streams.

And it's funny that you say QL is still the supreme 1v1 ARENA FPS out there, then proceed to compare team signups to games like CoD and CS:GO which are definitely not arena FPS'.

I study communication and I can tell you that you must be thick yourself to not understand you can definetly help yourself a great deal with those tools when used properly.

Obviously if you're a dumbass you're likely to misuse the tool and end up with undesirable effects for both your private and professional life.

I know exactly how "useful" it can be. I have a facebook page associated with each of my passive-income websites, each one set up to auto-post new RSS entries from each site. People love that shit, every day I get more likes, views, shares, and consequently visits and conversions. What's more, I have a Shitter account associated to each Facecock account too. I don't touch that shit, and when I rarely have to log in to change some settings I feel like my dick is being sucked by a diseased monkey, but I perfectly understand how and why Facecock and Shitter have become practically a necessity in the online business world, that is why I use these "tools" in this way, regardless of how much I would rather they never existed in the first place.

But why the fuck would/should someone need a Facecock account to participate in this poll? Why impose such a restrictive platform when there are perfectly adequate and universally accessible alternatives?

I was not really referring to this particular case, I was just willing to tell those people who feel all pumped up cuz they're so anti conformists that they dont have a facebook account and feel all proud of that.

i have a facebook account because i like the idea of staying in contact with those that i cannot call or that dont live nearby.

i totally dislike the thought that a personal data sheet that i have no control about is beeing created about me nonstop tho, using my realname and saving everything up until (prolly) eternity.

now i know anonymity in the internet doesnt exist. but i cannot do anything about that but trying to keep mine. and i have the feeling that theres a big difference between browsing the web, using different pages for what they are built for instead of doing everything on facebook with my name linked to it. i actually dont want them to save "i (realname) have voted in the ESA poll of 2013 for ctf" why? well i dont know! i have no idea what could be important later and what not but im surely better of if noone knows this in the first place and i never have to worry about anything.
