Schedule: Passed

Today at 09:00 CDT the FACEIT dLcompare.com TDM Challenge's last qualifier will take place. The teams have been fighting over the course of the last two Saturdays to receive points, which can qualify them for the Grand Finale.

The Grand Finale will be taking place on 29 June, where the top eight will get a shot at the $1000 prize purse. You can see each qualifier and the Grand Finale on FACEIT TV, with the third qualifier being casted by

Daniel "ddk" Kapadia, who is joined by

Bruno "ins" Pereira.

Shane "rapha" Hendrixson might cast a few games as well.

I'm using livestreamer and mplayer to play back streams, so no chat for me anyway. I have to agree though that the 480p I'm looking at right now is very decent. Maybe they've upgraded hardware during recent days or something. Yesterday for example qlranks' stream sucked very hard, so could be twitch has been in partial maintenance mode for a day or two.

Right, thanks. Standard IRC works too I guess, I vaguely recall checking it out once and it seemed to work reasonably well.

Anyway, the point I was (implicitly) trying to make was that I don't believe that chat functionality being available or not has a noticeable impact on those notorious twitch stream lags.

Every time I watch FaceIT there are lags. I refresh many times, report problem, etc etc. Nothing helps. Than I switch to DOTA or LOL channel with 100k+ viewers, 1080p reso and no lags, goes so smooth. WTH?

ctf isn't that great of an example since there are still classics missing, like wcp17, wcp18 and wcp22 (and wcp16 :3), just to name one map pack.

It's like having ztn and aero, but no dm13 and dm6.

I think part of it is due to the skill of teams signing up. It's really high end players in any of the teams. In the duel rounds you might get some easy and/or fair matches in round 1-3 before being knocked out, but in TDM really good teams are on all spots from round 1.

This doesn't have to be a bad thing, since very very very good matches are to be streamed from round 1. Really nice watch!

(Hope this message reaches TDM tournament organizers, as there is no shame in the sign-up numbers, since the skill of players is so high)

No, have nothing to do with it. It freezes regardless of how much i let it load. I heard that refreshing could help but it doesnt. This is a random problem for me, sometimes its smooth and sometimes, quite often it just sucks.

With all due respect but imo if you have a buffer and it still stutters you have computer problems. (Or browser problems, crappy flash whatever.)
