apparently it doesn't matter if he CHEATS ~~because~~ when he makes fragmovies...

should be as apparant as that it DOES matter if he cheats when he is competing, which is the reason why he is NOT competing any more... (for good reason)

I'm missing some more frags from the finals. It's basically all the Top 5's from Spring mashed together (which I've already seen). The music is decent and the Cooller joke is top notch, but not enough for me to give anything higher than 7.

May be pointless pointing something out to you, but:

1) It's a compilation of the best frags from the season, of course it will feature content from Top5 weekly updates quite heavily

2) That's the original hektik, made by swelt and city, the vql one just had repackaged textures and the lower yellow was changed to a green armor. http://ws.q3df.org/map/hektik_b3/ and I doubt you will see it changed in QL.

They've still put pentagrams on ztn lights and changed some QL symbols on ztn floors/dm13 ceilings to pentagrams. Not sure how big problem that is for ESRB.

To the contrary, I love pentagrams. I was only wondering if that's accepted in a frag movie linked by id, knowing that they have removed all of those from QL.

And in case you're wondering, I got confirmation that ESRB has no problem with religious symbols, they only care about blood and language (like my noob movie was rejected because it has a single F word in second song's lyrics). So this one should be fine if they want to publicize it.

retextured hektik is the most appealing thing that happened to this map since it's creation. Those mindless point-and-click maps like hek, hub and a few more just don't deliver any tactical thought - u just grab weapon and shoot things, "asteroids" arcade machine style. But with this chilly techno palette hektik becomes at least bearable to watch.

I wanted to give it a 9, but Cooller's appearance made me give it 10*.

But nevertheless I have a few remarks. I prefered the way the winter finale movie was made, when actual finale was separated from the eliminations. Also, this one starts with casters - why there's only one such moment? ddk and ins were quite enthusiastic during this day and I think more of them shouting would fit here. Also - why there's no rapha vs evil last seconds on hektik? That moment was extraordinary.

I loved the music though.

I don't give a f about who made it but.

I didnt watched other versions there is a major audio problem in the 1080p version, sound (specialy ingame sound) is outputed from left ear much more. Also overall sound quality was bad, felt like hearing it behind a thin wall. A lot of frags were average...

Smoothes and beautiful video in term of image quality tho. Also cooller gag was a nice touch.

7/10. Would easily be much more with better frags. I probably 10/10 with audio fix.

10/10 because finally without epic music and no abuse of motion blur
if anything could be improved it would be a little less darkness.
that "come to me baby" by cooller was obviously a big plus. having the players faces / casters voice included in a smart way always adds alot. emotions and fun are the spices of any good movie and without them everything stays facile and dull, no matter how well the frags/technique of moviemaking were executed

It's just sad to go on meeting other players at lan and chatting to them like their friends then using cheats against them online and helping others develop cheats, then only admitting it and apologising when he got caught... That's sad :(

If he cared about the game he would change is nick and do these movies under a different name so that it doesn't keep sending the message that no-one cares if you cheat in QL - "look even ZeroQL cheated until he got caught, but he's not banned and heavily involved in lan and online events..."

It's just sad that all these streamers and event organisers kiss his arse because he makes frag movies... Very very sad :(((((

Maybe next time he should have more time to create the movie? The one that highlights whole season shouldn't be made in a hurry in my opinion. Posting it a bit later probably wouldn't be good for business, but who knows?

nice SupaKoz. And no smiling guard saying 'Good Morning' to you when you step off. Ulbe and John Kricfalusi(Ren&Stimpy) have a lot in common; particularly the Ren&Stimpy episode where Stimpy accidentally falls into his own bellybutton. Psychedelically twisted and worth finding.
Found the song at least.

zeroql has the style of pulling out kick-ass graphics and tends to synch every single frame to the music, but on the other hand the whole atmosphere is always a mess. in this one the music is here just to be music, without any relation to the content(same feeling with or without sound). maybe it's due to copyright issues this time that limits music choices, but look back to previous ones i doubt it could be any better.
7/10 just for this, however good other parts are. can't enjoy movies without any 'emotions'.

i mean plain music in this case, generic music isn't always plain as hell. music in a movie should do what it should do - sketch out the atmosphere of the full movie or at least some parts of it. when the music was synched but totally nothing related to the actual content (with or without further imagination), it's a fail.

veery average movie imo, frags werent totally golden and music was pretty dull. Editing and camera drives were better than in average joes movie.

I dont remember if it was backsteens or whos movie, but it really lifted my expectations for upcoming movies.
