There's nothing wrong with the fragged version

especially if you are using high sense and only use the black section anyway :D

I'm high sens so I have the small one. I think I'd have to go up a size if I get the other version and want to rule out color errors. It looks like they now make an extended edition that your keyboard goes on top of. I might wind up buying that and cutting it.

I'm high sens using the small pad (omega I think) on the colour side almost exclusively (other side is dirty and I can't be bothered to clean it). If you have a good mouse that doesn't have some oddly specific sensor problem then the colours on the goliathus shouldn't give you any trouble

It hasn't with the few mice I've tried on both the control and speed versions.

Regardless, I'd rather not have a big ugly corporate logo on my desk.

i have the big one (alpha i think), and i just switched it vertically, with the black side upwards. that way, it also hangs over the edge of my desk-end. but its nice if your whole arm can rest on the cozy mat :D

the fragged version is still available for sale even on their official store, but who knows for how long.

they shouldn't cause worse tracking than usual black or fragged edition
