Is he even going? He's begging again on Facebook for someone to pay his way to QuakeCon. I don't get why he waits until the last minute every time to look for a sponsor. He's had almost a full year since the last QuakeCon to figure out his financial situation. Honestly, I don't see him placing in the top 3 anyways.

Let's get something straight... he isn't begging, nor has he even asked. His last post on Facebook was "At the moment, I can't go to quakecon unless I find a team to send me there, any suggestions?"

Lastly, why would he not practice for a major tournament? Anyone knows that to succeed, you need to practice. Furthermore, I doubt it's a guarantee he'd place in the top 3, given the level of talent from the other players that are actually attending.

Then why did he make the post? Can you read? He's asking for suggestions from people on how to get there. Maybe some of his fans have ideas. Just because you're inferring one thing doesn't make it true.

All the top players who need funding for Quakecon should simply practice, prove their on form and up for winning and then set up a donation paypal or similar for donations. If most of their fans gave just a pound or two (or more) I'm sure they'd get the funds needed. I'd give a pound each to a hand full of euros to see them perform at Quakecon :) - Cypher, Cooller, Evil, Strenx, Av3k, Tox etc
