Number two of the FACEIT Sunday Summer Cup is going live (again!) this Sunday afternoon!

The FACEIT Summer Season will be played each Sunday for the coming month, where 128 players can join and play for $125, as well as points to qualify them for the Finale.

You can already sign-up for the tournament at this moment. Check-ins will open at 06:00 CST, with the cup starting at 07:00 CST.

This Sunday (14 July) will be the second Sunday Summer Season cup. It will be brought to you by

Daniel "ddk" Kapadia and

Bruno "ins" Pereira on

FACEIT TV. The stream will go live at 07:30 CST.

Hey, there isn't anything complicated. You just need VLC installed in default directory (so you wouldn't need to write custom path to vlc.exe) and the path to rtmpdump.exe thingy. Takes not more than 5 minutes ;)

Yep, had the same issue, seems like a problem starting stream download. Just close VLC and try again until stream starts running. From my experience you need to wait no more than 10 seconds after command has been executed -- if the stream is not starting, repeat.

Ok so I was lagging all day on 720p+ exclusevly (had this issue with FACEIT stream for past few weeks), thought why not try this. And this shit actually works, now the 720p+ is flawless. It's awesome!

ps. just make sure you are using the latest VLC version, at first I had previous one and stream wouldn't start for me.

twitchapp for iphone on high quality and airplay to TV = no waiting for commercials when you start stream, good quality (don't notice much difference from 720p), no lags whatsoever.

agree. baksteen has the balls of cypher when it comes to creative plays. but other than most duellers these days, his out of control play doesnt entirely depend on agressive rushing, but on careful, intelligent defense. kind of like rapha.

yea his style is a mix of rapha and cypher, he just lacks the perfected combat-skills of both

I'm saying that in 2005 in Q3, he could already beat cooller, whose prime was 2003-2005 in that regard. The experience toxic gained with his dominance in Q4 has no doubt helped him become a much better dueller than he was back then.

faceit summer cup should have started a while back so after they did the summer cup final or whatever, they could just send the winner to quakecon

do an Autumn cup and the winner gets sent to dreamhack

good to see dkt make it to the NA finals on his first(?) faceit QL appearance

although im new to the QL competitive scene, been a fan of dkt since his UT99 days. i believe around the same time zero4 was ruling quake 3 (in 2000-2001?), dkt was king of ut99. i remember watching his demos from the world cyber games in Korea when he won back to back two years in a row. when he stopped playing UT99 for CS some guy named Gitzzz took over

still have a dkt mousepad laying somewhere, i remember those used to sell like hotcakes back in the day

Naw man, Gitzzz won WCG 2001 and 2002. Dkt never won back to back WCGs. Can't even find him in the tournaments unless he had a different nick back then.

ur right. it was WCG 2000 then UltraUnreal (which was the quakecon of UT back then), not WCG2001. i got the two confused. he stopped UT before WCG2001

Agent mentioned during his today stream with Ash that there was something 'odd' about his expected match with matr0x. He waited somewhat about an hour for his next game and tried to get some reply from admins, but was just ignored... so he just got tired to wait and quit.
