And it fits: Quake has a crazy, aggressive style of play while CoD is all tactical and stealth and stuff. One would expect that Quake players would be brute and rude vandals while CoD players would be quiet and respectful folks. Apparently, it's exactly the opposite.

Well Quake actually has a lot of tactics, timing and other sophisticated concepts, so I'm not sure the analogy fits.

I was just comparing the gameplay styles, not the particular elements or saying one game is better than the other or requires more skill or whatever.

Quake is fast and has a dark, evil theme while CoD is more "realistic" and slow. It's in that sense I made the analogy, but it's obviously a matter of opinion.

There really is something to be said at how humbling Quake is as a competitive game. For someone who was pretty decent at RA3 (I know, I know), trying my hand at duelling is like, "Wow, I'm fucking awful."

I appreciate champs like Rapher, and all the top talent. I especially respect talented players who can control the absolute RAAAAGE that Quake incites.
