But ok, you can try to find ur opponents and play ur matches, if they can. Try do it on stream during another group matches, at least give link to streamers. Save demos. GL

Wow, today's 125fps stream turned out to be 1,5 hour long interview with cypher. Many interesting question were answered, was really interesting.

I was sure it was him but I understood nothing since I don't speak russian (YET !).

Can you summarize the interesting points ?

some random points by cypher i could remember (as i remember it, someone correct me if i wrong):
- tried to get sponsorship for quakecon, had several options, but none of them was successful. didn't have time left to get visa, and is very sad about his absence at quakecon

- saw quakecon finals live at home, was cheering for rapha

- liked to watch dota internationals games, was cheering for navi

- he wants to win dhw to make some conclusive point in his career, but not sure that he will stop playing after that

- still doesn't have fixed future plans or doesn't want to say

- likes new maps and encourages to have changing mappools and ditching old maps like ztn (although admits that he loves that map). at the same time drops sinister at every mappicking on 125fps cup, says doesn't want to play it because doesn't know it well enough

- wants to play weekly cups regularly until dhw to get his shape starting this week

- cypher respects evil a lot more after seeing his games at quakecon. said that he didn't understand his style before and thought that it was just stupid, but now he sees how much thought is put into evil's rushes and how well controlled those rushes are. impressed with his game style aim-, decision- and dodge-wise, and understands why evil is using lg so much. doesn't sure how can he counter it yet

- "rapha won evil on quakecon because rapha can win evil on quakecon". evil has more chances to get the next quakecon now that he has that experience

- plays on wmo because some people were suggesting to get back on it and he was curious, is it worth it. has one mouse that he traded with shootmania (?) teammate for abyssus, expects for trade back. already broke a scroll button, mouse makes rattling sounds when shaked. said that doesn't see much difference from abyssus, but had to adapt to wmo for some time. likes abyssus for the speed it gives because of its size and weight

- doesn't like deathadder at all

- likes shootmania elite mode very much. stopped playing after failed qualifiers against cheaters and had to play those cheaters again after cheating accusations were confirmed. but still wants to play shootmania on eswc, said had some talks about that

- doesn't know much about what's avek is up to

- said agent has very dry game which is relatively easy to counter. by constant damaging and timing mega.

- said that russians are so hard to play because they have no respect for an opponent and are believing in themselves. europeans are too scared and thinking about their opponents too much

- wants to attend the prague lan for fun, not sure how - doesn't mind playing in some mix team

- his two rockets on dahang on dm6 were a huge luck, first one was thought of and the second one was a push on luck - he just tried it and was pleasantly surprised that rocket connected and gave him chances to get back into game

- he would like to be a guest caster on faceit

- amai is busy with work, doesn't play quake at all now

- stenxes aim is mostly positioning and strafe than pure aiming, said that strenx has sensitivity so low that he has to strafe more than correcting cursor position by mouse

shootmania has cheaters lol

also some nice points I missed listening to stream [+] especially about changing his opinion on evil skill and way of playing

also said that before quakecon was in talks with razer about sponsorship, they were very eager initially, but his razer contacts disappeared just before it was nearly no time to get to dallas. was very disappointed which led to that infamous tweet.

- microchip aka cyber is not a cheater despite all the accusations and even his ban
- people cheering for cypher at LAN gives him major confidence boost (was talking on example of QCon '12 final vs DaHanG)
- his training method: play few games with top players, most games vs average so he can feel the game, practice movement, aim, some aggressive moves; then back to top players to understand what his game lacks
- cypher was watching QCon '13 live and was cheering for rapha as he was the only one in his opinion who could stop evil
- sativa > indica
- likes fuse very much; cure is alright too; sinister feels too open
- wants some new maps so they'd be something really different: he's tired of 200x200-grab-lg-kill-opponent styles. First said it was evil who brought such style to QL, but then said it was strenx. Coming from here he said that strenx is not such a raw lg beast -- he's just lowsens with great tracking and strafing
- top3 now: evil, dahang, rapha
- doesn't consider himself to be able to take down evil currently

since he plays with wmo again can we know his mouse settings as of now? Or even have his "august" cfg?

You can always ask him on his formspring account. He said he liked to answer the questions there, but there were no activity lately. (I don't know the link to his profile, try searching for 'cypher')

Also, remembered one thing which might be interesting for all you Hz and aim lovers:
he still plays on 75Hz monitor :P

also:

- was playing several sets of maps with stermy just before the quakecon, was very surprised with stermy's form: won him just once, but said that stermy trades too much of his stack for a frag. stermy was very good for an inactive player

- thought that watchthis would win ca quakecon. found most ca games very boring.

- loves playing on stage, hearing crowd gives him motivation

- thinks that new maps are all alike: no maps without shaft, no maps without rail, all with mostly same sets of items. everything is too generic. said some warm words about t4 and t9.

yeah i'd love to see a map without shaft :D

twister, plazmaistar and etty have equal number of wins and losses and none of them won direct confrontation. this means they need to play additional matches (bo1) against each other.
upd 18 aug: so, twister won etty, but plazmaistar didn't appear and get defloses. thus, twister passes to GS2

A 10-min, 3-way Duel type of FFA would be awesome in the first place. Of course with Duel rules, like the absence of Quad.
Choosing the map could be from the 7-pool, with each player tossing 2, then 1 map remains.
