Wasn't that bad at all tbh. Things that annoyed me were the cams that just stopped moving suddenly and the ugly logo all over the maps. Still enjoyed it i guess.
that's what i was talking about in the forum thread. this guys movies are horribly flawed, but there is some potential. fully deserving criticism, but not hatred and ridicule.
thats what i saw. someone who knows technical stuff, obviously, thats a big plus, but didnt execute it good. maybe hes too fast with the making. i recommend for every movie maker Annihilation Quake lll. the music was getting on my nerves, but i understand why he choose the track, constant action.
HUK was a pain in the wolfcamql thread's ass for about half a year, he was perpetually in search for the perfect render...but I've got to agree, I imagine he worked as hard on this movie as possible. I have no doubt this was recorded at 300+ fps with no cvar left unturned, and every conceivable codec quality tested. The fx'es weren't all his, I think I recognise a few from various places.
Got to say, I've never seen a movie of this calibre without a description/credit of any sort...
Everything is modified just for the sake of modifying everything. Changed models, skins, sounds, added sounds for events that make no sound in QL, hell, even jones' rocket script was changed to have green flame (because there obviously are green flames).
Then half of the movie is blurred for no reason other than to make my life miserable and not see how the frags came to be. Then slow down and hasten up the video completely randomly, with no regards to flow or visibility or helping understand what happens. Or switch to third person view when there's nothing to be revealed with it.
Then it switched from normal config to simple items in the middle of a scene. There were other config changes between scenes but this one stood out.
I think, knowing HUK (vaguely), everything was modified for the sake of improvement. He puts so much effort into his config it would only make sense for him to also tweak fx, models, sounds as well. I'm not saying all of his changes were perfect, but I personally appreciate effort in the wolfcam stage of a movie.
Agree on the blurring, I thought my eyesight was fucked for a while. Also agree on slowing down. I think this is an example of someone who has great talent in wolfcam and encoding, but slightly less on editing and cinematography. (and music choice)..
Also, you're just sore because you got fragged at 4:00 ;)

Thanks all for comments, thanks moderators for posting my video here, I'm happy for any criticism, good or bad. Someday I'll create a super-tech graphics movie and storyline, I hope that I will. new cfg test on 16 maps
