(because,) due to being unclear on the protocol, I have not pre-applied and missed three major series in a row (nations cup, 2012 summer cup 2012, the upcoming fall cup 2012), and upon the commencement of the fall cup sign ups, I was a "supervisor" merely by a title, and did not feel any particular allegiance to clanbase. Around that time the exchange with cenix took place. I recall it to be a two-person debate (with insults and especially undermining innuendos being present (at least from my side), very akin to the exchange we're having now actually). We were unable to come to a conclusion because he, rather than addressing the fact I merely missed my sign up deadlines in the admins-only sub-website of clanbase (the one with the ridiculous name, starting with v I believe). So yes, he instead chose to criticise my credibility as an administrator in the two tournaments I did co-supervise during OC fall 2011, citing my low match report output as a statistic for incompetence. I merely retorted that my report amount is low due to the fact we had dedicated writers for the tournament, and that I did focus on the ad-hoc side of the tournament, which when approached proficiently, as you may have possibly experienced, that involves a large deal of IRC, cup forum and even e-mail communication, and adapting/altering rules of the tournament as it progressed, and if my output of reports was an issue that would have been addressed to me, I would have improved them. I then additionally stated that as he was not an active admin at the time, he would not be aware of the ongoing correspondence within the team and apart from a statistic on reports he was going by mere speculation. Then we went in a tedious, repetitive circle for two to three more posts and the conversation sort of fizzed out. I then was invited to help out at HoQ, so I kind of stopped on concentrating on the negative aspect of discussing my time at clanbase and turned my creativity into HoQ (I think quite soon after joining I wrote a little proposal to alter the league structure slightly and gave 7 other potential tournament structures and described them in detail, adding the pros and cons. They were all kind of rejected, and I did reluctantly agree that the amount of work on the database structure of the engine would make most of them all but unfeasible without major alteration. I also did feel while being told that the potential alternative being worked on at the time would be one-day cups, would be a better way at drawing numbers of participants. To end the tangent of all tangents in this brilliant memoir form, after joining House of Quake I toned down and then stopped the active critique of clanbase, as I felt constant bickering in this sort of context would either undermine the admin abilities of both teams in the eyes of potential participants and would show certain lack of restraint and is not in the form of a behaviour to be undertaken by an active admin. We can't be having that, can we?
