The only map I wanted to watch was aerowalk.

This and that cup have a weird map pool considering it features old school players.

I'm sorry about Aerowalk not being in the map pool. All I talked with (of the players) said that it's pretty much unplayeble until Id Software fix the spawns, etc.

And why is it a weird map pool for the old school players? I would say it's a pretty good map pool for both the old and the new players.

About aero, guess we can blame syncerror once again. Personally I wanted to see hub because fazz is playing, but since it has to be the same pool as the Swedish cup then I agree.

The second paragraph is about new maps, such as cure, sinister and toxicity (not aerowalk). I think retired and inactive players prefer to play maps they actually know.

But I think it was already stated that the map pool was chosen because there's such a long time for every participant, old and new, to practice the maps.

unplayable is a bit of an overstatement dont u think? haha aerowalk is even in its current state, better than dm6 and sinister in your current map pool id have thought..

Yes, it's online and that will not change - at least not this first time around, but maybe for the championship of 2015.

I've been talking to Fox about this, and there is no need to worry about him not playing. If that changes, I will take his name of the list at www.quakesm.se as soon as he tells me. (And that goes for all the players that tells me that they have changed their mind - that list is always the latest update)

He were caught cheating two years ago and whined a lot about getting caught and wanted sympathy.

Since then he have started to mature in the last six months or so but he is still banned. It have been debated if he should be allowed to play or not sometimes on here. Most people are negative towards him.

He has to make a fragmovie before we can consider an unban.

No one but him debates his ban. Everyone else agrees that cheaters should stay away from Quake.

Not really. There is about half of us that say that he should be unbanned and the other half says that he can play.

Personally i am not sure. I wouldn't let him compete online to begin with since i wouldn't trust him. If i cant trust him the player that he is facing could start to think that he is cheating and would lose focus. So i wouldn't let him compete online.

Then on the other hand, it's a game. In larger sports such as the Olympics they let people that have cheated compete again, so why shouldn't we? If he does something to prove that he is going to help the community. Unban him and let him play, if he gets caught cheating again then we ban him and never lets him play ever again.

A lot have happend since January 2011, you know. :) I think most people wouldnt say that the iPhone 5S is better then the iPhone 4 (the latest iPhone in January 2011). A more Quake related thing is that Evil is now beating Cypher almost every time they play, that wouldnt have happend in January 2011.

Anyway, I'm really happy with having Zoot and Ins as commentators. I know they will do a great job with this.

i get why u wouldnt want to think that, i just dont think its true. 2gd is hella smooth and was able to give very good, in-depth commentary to quake. zoot or ins isnt quite able to do that, and they arent very good at casting in general either.

When 2gd is on the top of his game i think he is the best commentator out there for quake. However lately when he has casted it seem like he's not fully focused on making it a good show. He can be kinda unprofessional at times tbh.
