Just use duct tape to reduce LoD for the mouse overall ?

That works, but how?

it cuts off the light behind the eye of the sensor(the small lens).
because the light comes diagonally out of the mouse, this piece of light would wander right under the eye when you lift of the mouse, so the sensor would see the surface for longer.

I may try that, but I do need a new pad anyway, this one isn't tall enough for my sensitivity when I'm scoped in as a sniper in TF2 (very hard to headshot soldiers jumping at me when I run out of room quickly)

if you like control you might like steelseries NP+ which is bigger and imho got a better surface but it's out of production for a few months so it might be hard to find

It's only 45cm wide so that might be a problem. I'll try seeing if I can play with that

it's still wider than goliathus and much taller which is more important

I'm using the Extended edition
I figured that even if I don't use most of it, I can still just flip it around and have a new mouse pad. But I ended up using most of it anyway.
