actually i forgot Tricking iT 1, part 2 i have on hdd of course.

the start rocks, player spawns and goes slowly into action. i saw classic maps. dm17, blue playtypus, this map from osp mappack with the big clock, team arena ctf map, dm12. the tricks feel very basic and simple, in the spirit of 2003. they fit nicely to the movie concept. i like the outro too, with the map that looks visual interesting. its only a detail but the letter font looks cool. The game music has this freedom calmy space vibe from ltj bukem.

besides from the good movie, i like to see how trickjumpers really see a map, defrag hud, vertex 5 etc. maybe an idea for a future trick movie. im not sure if dksl was the first with a afterwards movie editing. in general the idea to redo a movie is just great. we found this format in feature films, music and games.

my questions to wussie. did shaolin productions only shoot quake 3 movies? i remember a movie trailer for rtcw. is this movie crew still alive? and what was the last movie from wussie? i like that you still around, movie newschoolers can learn some things from you.

were the airstrikes jumps possible in vanilla settings? As far as I remember, it was pretty much blowing up everybody into pieces if they were in the path.

no, if you're standing DIRECTLY on the marker, it says something like target couldnt be found and just the marker explodes with a minor explosion.

I don't thinks you watched the full video where the guys actually use full airstrikes to propulse themselves across the entire map.

I will assume that it was with some special server settings for now.

it wasn't, there is spawn protection for just about 2 seconds - would have just thrown a/s, respawned and got ready to fly

Shaolin Productions did a few movies besides Q3, but not much. jrb did Ravenholm re-run (HL2) and 4K Revolution (RTCW), I did a quake 4 video (Admiratio), and there may have been a few CS videos that I can't quite recall. Termi did a bunch of fan trailers for games like Halo 2, Doom 3, Crysis and more (he later went on to work on as Creative Director on the Dead Island trailer).

Shaolin Productions these days is mostly quiet, some of us keep in touch but pretty much nothing is being produced. The latest that was released was Event Horizon 4, which started out being made by myself but eventually landed in cop's hands as I didn't have the time available to finish it.

Before this video (and before EH4) I did Live II Fly (under ':E Productions' with Nihilanth and oTis), we didn't release that under the Shaolin Productions banner as it was mostly an unedited content showcase and I felt that that wasn't what the "brand" was about. Tricking iT Revisited isn't quite released as a Shaolin Production either for similar reasons.

I didn't have the time available to finish it.

very nice, very nice... some nice classic moves! ... the "shaky" camera angels/shots from distance were very nice aswell... they gave additional info on perspective and scale of the trick performed.
