cs 1.6 too has also a lot interesting and abusable physics. Although the speeds and amplitudes are usually smaller thus the strafe jumps are so quick and shaky that it makes me motion sick after a few minutes. So I agree it's not as enjoyable to watch but the skill and jumps are there.
What I like about cs1.6 though is that those trick jumps come in very handy in normal games. In quake if you can't do them then you can always compensate by rj'ing. In cs1.6 there is no alternative. (think of the cliff jumps on de_nuke)
Another thing seen much more in cs1.6 than quake are boosts, again sort of trick jumping but with a purpose of outsmarting/surprising the opposition. Although you sometimes see players on ztn boost someone up to RA from GL platform.
Accusing somebody of cheating is pretty low... where's your proof?
shio & nosf are great torture players.
Both runs were made on the mdd servers, shio had ~30 spectators when he pulled that run off.
If that's legit, its pretty fucken incredible. But given how absurdly difficult it is, my inclination is to be skeptical. Sorry that makes me "pretty low".
The map is hilarious. Those lines getting smaller and smaller at the beginning, I loled hard. Made you wander how small they could actually get didn't they?
nice video, good skills and mental composure but..
i wish defrag had the complexity of quake 2 jump mode, you get all the jumps from quake live + many more options that are unfortunatelly ripped of defrag physics like: multiple vertical jumps, standing double jumps, ramp jumping, ladder juming and many more that makes it much more complex and demanding.
Also there are more than 2000 maps made from simple 5 sec ones to 1000 secs colosses testing your skill and mental abilities. Server with all the maps and stored records from last 10 years still exists (q2jump.net)
