Cyber was playing under the alias "microchip" in the later days of Q3. He did very well at asus autumn 2009, knocking out cooller along with other big names in a bo3, think he got forth place overall. I also remember him winning in some online cpma/vq3 tourney, he's been a good player for many years.

I think it was some later ASUS than 2009? Anyway, it was not LAN, but online, and even though no action was taken against him, afterwards there was some convincing demo analysis suggesting wallhackery and already during that tournament he got nicknamed "microcheat" by pretty much everyone watching.

Yes people were saying "microcheat" on GTV and on dm6 vs cooller he hit some insane shit, though after playing him in QL a few times I can say he is very skilled, and also a humble player, and not that proves anything but he didn't cheat in my opinion and besides you are innocent unless proven guilty. Was from asus autumn 2009 BTW, i checked before posting.

pause is allowed by the rules, it can't be unfair. If u got glitching mouse, ping spikes or smth else and ur playing for a good prize - why would u continue without pause? ALLOWED by the rules, I repeat for stupid people who didn't get it the first time.

If u lose because, for instance, ur antivirus popped up with a warning - would u consider it fair? think before talking bullshit next time.

U should accuse Evil of cheating next, just to keep your brain processes consistent.

no idea if u have in-game knowledge but as for me when i play and someone timeouts it does nothing to me unless it's like one minute or longer pause... i think pauses aren't that annoying

also if someone wouldn't pause and you went to kill him while he was lagging you would feel even worse especially in a tournament

I really like how back and forth is the rivalry between Evil and Cypher. Yesterday it was like "no one can match up with this Cypher" and today Evil took him quite convincingly.

Evil beat cypher twice in a row, what would be convincing enough for u - should he beat him thrice in a row? He could. Evil is one of the most psychically stable Quake masters out there, along with Rapha.

When Evil gets a good sleep after a hard working week - he can slice'n'dice anyone. Furthermore - cypher probably wasn't as much motivated as yesterday, having a bunch of dough in his pocket already, although he had to defend his fans' opinion that he's unstoppable terminator since friday evening. Turns out he's pretty stoppable.

There were close games and total domination games tonight, but in the end Evil went through cypher quite convincingly, whether u like it or not. End of story.

convincing to what? in your terms it should be bo7 and total dismemberment of one of the opponents to convince you that the other is the strongest.
and watching mma or boxing you're probably convinced by KOs in the first round only, and you probably r not even watching or approving olympics, because 99% of the results r hair thin close.

I mean - when u see a champion boxer, who walks like a sleepy fly, taking all the hits with his hands down and scratching his ass instead of properly attacking or defending (as everyone awaits him to act), u probably know that the champion is whether tired, or somewhat fucked up in one way or another. Not convincing.

But when the fight of the two rivals goes hard and tense, and the end result is confirmed twice in a row - that's some convincing win right there.

Cypher wants to end his quake years by winning dhw13, but I hope that Evil will deny this opportunity, forcing Alexey to continue his awesome performances.

Year ago some guys thought Evil is a one-night fluke, and even up to date there r still some brain-cancerred people saying Evil is fluking here and there. For the whole year, a-ha. Not to mention he stomped ASUS tourneys back in the days and only had 2-3 chances to run for international championships. He used them to gain exp and then kick major ass. Kicking it for the whole year now. Pretty fucking convincingly.

We've seen quite a few games earlier this year where Cypher got literally outplayed by Evil and couldnt keep up. Thats what I call convincing.
It didnt come even close to that yesterday, the games were decided by (minor) mistakes and the fights were swinging in favor of one or the other.

Evils recent success is certainly not a fluke, I agree. But some people dont seem take one important fact into consideration: during the last year, when Evil became dominant, most of the top players were playing rather sporadically, while Evil played tons and tons of games. Now people are staring to catch up - not only Cypher, but also Av3k, Cooller and others aswell.

Evil is rightfully considered as one of the contenders for winning Dreamhack, but saying its all about him and his on and off days is... pure fanboyism.

Evil stepped up this game on another level, and now top players start to adapt to his style, learning his tricks and etc. The Quake before Evil won dreamhack and Quake after this is not the same game. And please no more words or allusions about SM or lack of practice.

I like evil because he is not crying, not +backing, and he is top player for sure. He win or loose but he worth of respect.

I'm actually impressed how Evil managed to win over Cypher being outaimed all the time. Even Cooller was outaiming him at times...

Also I was surprised by kook's and even more by cooller's performance. Going toe to toe vs cypher/evil must be noticed and complimented :)
The only thing about this tournament which would make it cooler is bo7 final with 1 map lead from a person from WB.
