did no one else notice that cypher had the possibility to watch over on raphas screen at this setup for the whole finals?

I got video footage of various minutes of cypher play (from the pov of this picture) and he literally never turned away from the screen. If you consider the time to adjust the gaze, figure out what you are seeing etc, it would be pretty much suicidal.

Too bad there were no females in the tournament, cause they have wider peripheral vision and wouldn't need looking away from their screen.

same reason you generally hit better lg with lower fov. Men have a lower 'fov' because they were hunters who needed to aim, while women needed higher 'fov' to be more aware of their surroundings I guess.

Explains why males tend to be better at videogames, however, as the article states, these are not rules and you can always find exceptions.

Another question: What would have happened if you did catch Cypher looking away? Do you report it to the admins? How do you know if he just casually looked away from the screen or did in fact take a peek at rapha's screen? This setup raises a lot of theoretical questions.

Not implying it would be of much use, would even call it more of distracting to have the choice....

It's how the players set their monitors. Tables were symmetric.
