Vertex lighting would make it smoother but everything will look poor... And no dynamic lighting.

dunno about lightmapcolor. It makes dynamiclight work in ql unlike vertexlight 1.

I dont really like vertex >0. Its better on other maps, I could be fog/light of asylum. It's not noticeable on picmip 0-3. Lower gamma makes it less exaggerated. I have 144hz lcd playing on 120hz lightboost

I know exactly what you mean. I actually like the default shading with higher picmip, however, I made my visuals when playing on a CRT, and I only recently noticed after playing on a 120hz LCD for a time that there is a shitload of tearing, jaggedness and blur, which I am assuming lightboost can get rid of, but I can't afford a new monitor right now. So I have been experimenting with a view other visual styles and configs, and the one I have settled on is a modified evil cfg.

This makes everything mega smooth and crisp, and appears to mostly eliminate the tearing and blurring.

The other thing I found was that playing on lower picmips also got rid of it.

But yeah, evils cfg is NICE, the only thing is that you need to play with a black crosshair, which also means you need to use a bright crosshair on space maps. It's a minor problem though, on nearly all maps black crosshair is fine.

Perhaps try a black hud xhair with a white outline?

I just bound a key to switch between the crosshairs.

So the new cfg I was using was a mess do to execing lots of cfgs, so I copied out the gfx settings and wiped my cfg and then exec'd it, now the walls aren't smooth again :/

Even tried execing the evil backup, won't fix it, some other sort of command I don't know :(((((
