If we don't get DHS, which is likely, i think we should just start crowdfounding for DHW 2014, after all, it's just a matter of money.

Can't forget that it's not just a case of prizepool funding. There is a lot of equipment, space and man power that went in to running DHW13. Prizepool is only a fraction of the costs

True that. Still, i think it's doable, with a smaller prizepool of course.

Even though i think BEFORE that the community should make a serious effort to find a sponsor.

And then without the prizepool, a tournament would fail to attract the top level competitors. Maybe some would show up, but it wouldn't be the same caliber as DHW that just passed.

not serious contestant, last minute drop outs, lack of interest from both the playerbase and spectators.. all this factors made admining QL a nuisance.

That being said, I will wait until there's a proper announcement on their website before celebrating.

The Party is official, a news post will be made next week as soon as the sponsors are confirmed which is next week :)

I'm so fucking stoked about The Party. It was one of Zoot's first events to cast (maybe even his first LAN?), and although I completely missed it live, I watched the VODs a while ago and hot damn, such an awesome event, and CTF imho is the best gametype to watch (even if it's hard to cast, it's a good watch because it's objective-based, like sports).
