Basically, UK server nothing hits, or is incredibly harder to hit.

Any EU server like DE or NL = easy hit.

tl;dr is the routing in the UK locally fucked up or is it placebo fucking with my mind?

cg_lagometer, ping is so much more than just the latency. I played on some UK server that had some weird things going on. Latency seemed fine 40ish, but was still chugging with mad inconsistency in the net graph, and game felt like you describe.

You can say "link quality" or something but please don't change the meaning of PING.
