Well the time has now come, after hearing all the feedback from the
FACEIT Feedback 2014 posts to unveil our new weekly cups format. We have heard what you have contributed, and this is what we have come up with. We appreciate all the feedback and please feel free to imsg me personally if you have any other ideas that we might be able to implement.
We have scaled down the number of cups for EU on a daily basis due to most players requesting that they would like to see less cups. We have increased the Faceit Points on all the Cups as requested by the players,and have have now exceeded what we have given out in the past on a daily basis. We have tried to make everything as even as possible in NA and EU in regards to the ladder system we have set up. As it stands now we have been running monthly map pools for all the cups and have heard no negative feedback in this regard so we have decided to continue this initiative for now. With only two lower tiered cups per day hopefully we will see an increase in the number of players playing in one cup, which in turn will help to eventually fill these cups and grow our community.
The Weekends are now dedicated to hosting the Fun, Premium, and Team Cups. The Fun Cups will consist of One Map/Oldschool Cups and anything else we can think of to keep giving a fresh perspective to you the community. We have also scaled down the number of times we run Premium Cups, the main reason for this is also because the activity on these cups on a daily basis is very small. This will also give players who are supporters that have One Free Premium Token the option of playing in one of four monthly Premium Cups instead of over six a week, which for the most part have not been to active. This in turn will hopefully give us a much larger turn out to these events from both our Premium and Supporter subscribers. The Team cups are now only once a week which has been requested by the community due to the over saturation of the team cups not giving players enough time to set up a team and sign up to a significant event instead of just a bunch of smaller ones that has only two to five teams sign up. With this strategy we will hopefully be able to have at least eight to sixteen teams signed up for these 2v2 Team events.
As for the larger team cups you have all mentioned that this is something that you would like to see as a special 
FACEIT TV event, that would have a separate post and build up to it which would also give players a chance to form a team and prepare for the event. This is something that we unfortunately are just not prepared to take on at this point as an official event on a monthly basis, we have dedicated this time to the Seasonal Duel Points Events. We will however when time permits in the schedule continue to do select live team events. We are talking about possible alternatives so please bare with us and we will let you know in the near future.
Remember only you can help grow the fun competitive community of Faceit so let anyone you play with know about us and add them to your friends list so you can link them cup url's. If you want Faceit to grow we must all do our part in promoting, and filling the cups, the more players who play the more cups we can have the more points you will be able to win.
The new cups format and map pools listed below will take effect starting on Monday. All the cups for the whole week are now posted on the site so feel free to head on over and take a look. Remember all these points you win can be exchanged for prizes, such as
