Outstanding! Finally, a Quake vid that looks like Quake! Air rockets, anticipation shots - both rockets and rails, plus split second corner strafing rails. I don't understand why so many players/vids think that alllll Hitscan or LG/RG shots on hovering players, in the air, or moving straight at them in a single direction is "skill" or enjoyable to watch. It's easy, and the point/shoot CoD-ification of Quake...

Nice stuff. Audio balance wasn't quite right and there wasn't much in the way of editing, but the cfg and overall feel makes for a lovely moment

Well that sure was one of the last songs I'd expect to hear in a fragmovie. But I'd say it was a good choice, it gives the movie a unique vibe, though I think the original everyday struggle would also fit very well in a fragmovie. I vote for more gangsta rap in fragmovies!

is yea... sounds a bit like: if i'll get payed a bit, i will keep making those, so if you wanna see them in future: i wouldnt mind to earn some money of it. and i will do those even if they will have no soul or will be done without natural (money free) motivation.

Is this kinda like we'd have a pro e-sports thing going on even without prize pools at tournaments? How is it fundamentally different? Especially with prize pools that come directly from donations like we've had in some tournaments.

I'm sure there'd still be people out there making these movies if DaHang wasn't but so would there be people playing QL casually...

I didn't ask for any money to implement my own ideas, I had already created the video, this wasn't some kind of kickstarter project, there's simply a donation link if you enjoyed the video or any of my previous works. Donate $1 or nothing, it doesn't matter to me - and all my videos are still 100% free. I donate money to artists all the time who make their music available for free, I don't recall hiring them to make music for me. I donate because I appreciate their work and feel it's worth my money.


You then imply that I need money to keep my motivation for projects and tell me the reasons that I should personally keep making movies.

I never said I needed money to keep my motivation, but money certainly motivates me, as it does most people. I enjoy making videos, I do it in my free time and I'll continue to whether I make a dime or not.
