What was good?
Incredibly good prizepool, good coverage and streaming, finals day was really intense.

What could have been better?
Direct elimination at the initial stage, meaning the first matches were pros stomping n00bs non-stop. A quakecon-style group seeding would have fitted the event better, considering that there was no rush in the online stage. I also would have liked to see the finals played at the lan, with player footage etc, although I understand that this could have caused some problems.
Lastly, please stop that .jpg bracket abomination and learn to use challonge or something similar.

1a: The very best players from Sweden, both new and old, in one big tournament. Please. Make this happen every year!
1b: dm6. I love watching duel on dm6.
1c: Trophy and good prices.

2a: I missed the sign-ups. :(
2b: Bad bracket. Could have been done and updated with challonge. Paint seems to be to much work.
2c: I don't like it when finals end 4-0. I want real nail-biters. Tox must play worse next time.

Announcement for the LAN was too late
it wasn't mandatory (cmon its saturday and Stockholm is close to everything).
Better brackets (they where never updated during the lan, challonge?),
Have the tourney more spaced out. Had loads of time for pracc but all games where really tight together.



Also, would have been cool with a swedish stream. I noticed that there where a lot of swedes in the Zoot chat. Might only be 50-100 ppl watching that, but its still nice. For Swedes, by Swedes ;P

Not sure. Dormitory internet often fucks with me. Was funny though, because I would get 5-6 seconds playtime followed by 20-30 seconds buffering. When I watched Purri vs Spartie, I just caught those incredible last seconds on Sinister before it started buffering again.

i am sure. not only i was having the same thing, tons of people complaining in chat and same situation on the lvlup stream as well.

woah, that trophy is as quake as it gets

kudos to the organisers of this well thought out event and all the players participating (especially lower skilled ones who gave it their best even without much hopes for significant results - fuck yeah!). shame that ins police had to step in at one point and that many lame high level dropouts occured. the only significant thing in need of changing (apart from borderline unreadable brackets and schedule jpgs, oh man) imho is the tournament format to prevent ongoing punishment on stream. for the first week and a half of streaming it was constant massacre sprinkled with interesting, even games, so the format to let weaker players play some more and streamers to have alternative matches to pick would make the whole thing all that more worthwhile. still: awesome effort, gg wp errybady!

News were done badly here in ESR all the way. Couldn't find info and only knew about those finals through IRC when ins or zoot spammed it to somewhere.

Start of by saying that minimia did a phenomenal job.

Before The first game i was to lazy with making contact with The opponent, shame on me. The last day for game, Minimia found not only me but The opponent and arranged everything.

The amount of commitment and effort by minimia is outstanding. Big props!

Watched this on my new 104" home cinema o/ Good games, seems like tox has slowly tuned both positioning, timing an tactics of his dueling game lately. He looks very self confident and reminds me a bit of his Q4 days.

Any other big tournaments coming up? What happened with the rumor about some league picking up QL?

1. I thought the casting was brilliant. Everything about the casting, the play by play comments by zoot, the insights by ins etc. I loved the humour you guys had as well. I liked how you uploaded the videos to youtube as youtube plays better with lower quality (480p) than twitch, streaming 720p content is quite dodgy with my internet. I loved how ins watches and comments on the opposing pov, it gave me information on of how the game was flowing from the enemies angle.

2. This is sort of off topic. But I'd LOVE to see a showmatch between Noctis and Fox. I'd pay money to see that. I'm really really gutted to not see Fox playing in this cup. I'm sure it's nothing you could of helped but D: On the topic of casting, I'd love to see you implement the health/armor of the opposing pov. I know it's not possible in spec mode, but by other means? Maybe create another spec account, crop the hud out and lay it over your streaming video maybe? Might be a mission though.
