For me in the first place is the quality on YT, but it requires a lot of tests to make the most of the bit rate of 2.1 Mbps at 720p

He's just an idiot. Every day he puts his tests in the Russian Quake community, with the question "WHAT BETTER VIDEO?".
He is confident that the quality of the movie depends on the config.

It is all about sharing stuff you found cool, I wouldn't share something I don't like. I assume that someone wanting to keep it "secret" wouldn't publish it on Youtube.

Only thing is that I can also understand how people might feel that esr is too critical an audiance at times.

I just feel that perhaps where possible the author should be asked first. I wouldn't be too pleased if someone had posted something I'd made without asking, but I'm just putting my opinion out :)

It might also be that the author didn't intend the video to be critically reviewed if you follow my drift - once on esr all movies are judged as an examplar piece. From what I gather this was intended as a test, not a 'final' movie.

One can not post something here that has been not been published to some extent. Unlisted videos I could see be potentially wrong as the author may not have consented of releasing it to public. Once it is public it's public and all can see it and everyone can criticize it.

I think posting them is a good idea, but maybe only after a certain waiting period allowing the author to make a proper posting?

PS, one more time reminded me ql's maps remakes design poority.

I gave it a four, but only because I'm biased after just watching a few others before(closer to a 5.5-6).

I agree with mouse* that the movie maker shows drive and determination. I liked the even editing, pacing and overall execution.
The ending was problematic: With the music fading out, the pummels and nade frags continued awkwardly, leaving the all-important end feeling -- "meh"

Breaking into the frag movie market isn't easy. Separating yourself from others' imagery and artistic choices is even tougher. This movie is a great start on that long road.
