As a web developer I spotted MANY things wrong with the site, not to mention the CSS and general design looks terrible (in my opinion), and there is an interesting little element I found that is supposed to toggle the event calendar.

Yea, you can even add some functionality to toggle the content in that main window based on whether a stream is live or not.

Perhaps a newsfeed, some nice vods playing (maybe most recent vod?), etc... might as well utilize the space when you are offline.

also, i don't see the point of having that on click hide stuff on that latest item on main page. it's useless.

btw i'd suggest using borders for link decoration instead of text-decoration: underline. it just looks better.

The website was recently updated with some design changes, will do some more tonight \:D/.

changing some colors to hide the blocky nature of the page areas is solid design change \:D/

I don't have Photoshop on this machine, so i had to use Google Docs drawing :D
Also this is not a design, just a wireframe.

Anyway, i think you guys need to reorder some blocks on your home page according to their priority, something like this:

- Show me the next event in the header
- header doesn't need to be THAT big
- Stream schedule is important, but the stream is more important, so it goes higher
- Twitter stream goes below
- Images for Headline? Big no-no!

Other pages can follow this same pattern, you just need to remove block with stream video and chat.

Also, another great feature of this layout is that you can use it to embed videos you really like, for example season finale, some epic comebacks, featured videos, you get the point, in that case you can push schedule and twitter up, instead of stream chat, and integrate comments below the video so people can discuss it.
(* i don't always get to watch live streams, so i have to watch vods, often, and it sucks that i don't have ability to leave comment on twitch for past broadcast / highlight )

@ins, seriously dude, I wan't this site to succeed and I have been following zootlive for ages now and it's my favorite quake live stream, far more so than faceit.

If you want some help with the site just let me know, I am from South Africa and work as a web developer in the UK, as I said earlier my plate is quite full at the moment, but I can set aside a couple of hours on the weekend and at least redo your stylesheet :P.

that's just domain price. I was talking about time investment as well. but it's okay! everyone on this site is still stuck in 2000-2008 so a website is a fantastic idea.

there's no time investment. page is just a portfolio + dynamically managed schedules

so yeah, sorry. domain + 20 mins/day to update the schedule in google calendar and eventually post a news item when there's something important to announce.
