You know, Esreality has it's fair share of dumb comments that leaves you speechless and unable to even respond but every now and then you scroll past this amazing comment that completely disables your brain and organs functionality for a small amount of time. Some would argue that you're technically dead but that's a different discussion. I think these comments could serve as scientific proof of the dumbing down of humanity. I guess the problem with these comments is that if you question them they can always pretend they were trolling.

Anyhow, some questions:

Was the game boring?
Is the game boring?
Is it boring that (roughly) the same players play the game?
Is it boring that they have experience?
Should we disallow anyone with experience to play the game?
Do experienced players playing the game change the game and game mechanics and not software updates?
Can you update Quake Live to a new version by just playing it?

Would create some great interaction between the stream and betting, but ESR's system is not really built for realtime betting I guess.

Ideally 5 min before a game, the stream is announcing which players are streamed and the link is shown in chat, announced on stream and people can bet on esr, would definitively make you care a little more ;)

for season finals atleast. Maybe for few of the more interesting matches during the seasons too.

So the season finals is easier to manage because you know the roster beforehand, I tried to make semis but by the time I add all players and evaluate their win probability in % the match already starts and the fixture is only open for 3-4 minutes max :(

Seeds are now done according to the Points standings, this awards the players who consistently play in the Sunday Cups with a better seed, giving them the opportunity to acquire enough points to make the top eight to compete in the Final Event at the end of the season. Killsen was seeded lower and ended up having to play Cooller in Round 32.

We want to give equal opportunity for all players to earn as many possible points, it is not fair that a player can just join only two or three cups and be seeded higher and get enough points to play in the finals.

Big apologizes to the players and viewers for not streaming the K1llsen vs Cooller match, we really wanted to but the site had 3rd party issues which resulted in us having to manually update every single match and it was played before we even realized it.

I have a feeling its because evils rockets arent that good and tbh he doesnt use them a hell of a lot... tbh yesterday i was rocketing better than I have been, which im assuming is cause for the first time ever in a comp match we played on UK so i had 30 ping as opposed to 45.. now i dont think 30 is amazing, but its a hell of a lot better. I actually think my rockets are pretty good and can be my best weapon, but i really really struggle on 45 ping so i usually stick to lg and rail only which can take away my advantage over some players because loads here in europe have very strong lg and rail.

If u notice p much alot of key moments in those match ups i won by hitting lots of rockets, obviously cypher does the same cause hes got the best rockets in the world, where as killsen and evil are more like for like so i suppose it could go either way even though probably atm evil is better.

Quite often when strong aim players with lg and rail (evil) get outaimed a little (by guys like k1llsen) they often really struggle because they dont have definitive advantages over them anymore. Whereas cypher or someone like that always has the advantage that he can rocket a lot better than the other players (cuase hes one of very few players who can actually use rockets well imo atleast in europe, and even then hes still better anyway).

Also before I had 32ms ping to de and now I got 50ms. I can tell you for sure that 32 is FAR better than 50 in terms of rocket/lg and even railgun. I am so angry that they f*cked up the routing for many of us in east Europe. :(

evil has been known for having the strongest rocket in Russia for ages... even in QL era till 2013 when he was worse than many russian top players. People were like omg evil rockets, etc. But he wasnt really known outside Russia apart from a couple of lans and bad online perfomance. But in 2013 he started practicing like mad at old 125 fps cups(which happened every day and had 4$ prize each day), was basically an evil-agent final every day. Kinda started using lg/rail a bit more and a bit less +forward(yes, he was even more retardedly aggressive before, could lose ztn vs Cooller by 30 frags or so, he still often turns that dumb mode when nothing else works). So he improved his timing, control and overall strategy, started using other weapons a bit more, won DH and suddenly all eu folks started calling him an lg/rail whore, which he has never actually been. Eventhough he started using them a bit more aftert watching some strenx games, analyzing his own, etc he still didnt improve his hitscan aim by a large margin. I dont really consider his raw hitscan aim being nearly as good as guys like strenx, killsen, stermy, etc,(i.e if he meets them in equal hp/armor conditions without anyone having positional advantage he will get destroyed). Yes his positional aim with lg is good, he's able to deal damage from any angle unlike those and his aggressive push is better than most players cause of better dodge. But the day he meets a decent hitscan aimer - he's fucking DOOMED just because he gets destroyed in equal position. Just watch bo7 showmatch vs rusty strenx when evil was winning every online cup or any match vs k1llsen when he's on fire. And if you actually watch evil fighting rockets vs rockets he wins most fights vs anyone. It's just his struggle vs hitscan, he doesnt know how to counter better hitscan aimers(unlike cypher, rapha or cooller)

Well im going off what ive felt, idc what i see him hit vs some guys, im talking who is hardest from when I play them and how they feel, not just how they look vs other guys.

Also u gotta remember he plays consistently on 5 ping, so ofc he will out rocket guys all the time. I havnt seen that much of him, but even so, ive never thought wow he has good rockets as opposed to some scenarios with lg or even rail.

Also i think the reason cypher rapha and cooller can counter them better, is they have better rockets haha (definately cypher and rapha), but also i suppose they are different playstyles also.

About evil's RL skill h3m3 is absolutely right - in russia evil was famous as one of the (if not THE) greatest RL aimer in our scene. For example i can't say that cooller or cypher has better RL aim than evil. It's just because evil doesn't use it so much anymore.

Maybe it's just me but I think evil's close range rockets are rather weak. Could be that he used higher sens in his earlier days coz his mid range rockets are really nice.
Same with cypher. His rockets are still very strong but I've seen do him better with a higher sens and I prefered the old cypher. They still are very good just not on the level he used to hit them :P

I second that. In addition I believe evil's 50+ ping helped killsen in a few key moments. I also feel if they had played 3 of 5 evil would have won.

I was talking solely about aim in that paragraph yeah, obviously there is more to it than that, however i didnt wanna go into decisions at all, as there really isnt much need in that scenario i dont feel. You would be naive to think that I dont think decisions matter ;)

Today I was prepared to complain about too much talking/breaks compared to in game time. So I took notes, result was 190mins in game, 110 talking/breaks. Actually I think this is quite good.

Good show today! I can't recall any setup which has more tension than evil-k1llsen on ztn.
