Anarchy and Democracy
TwitchPlaysPokemon now has two modes, anarchy and democracy.
Anarchy mode is the "old" mode, where everyone's inputs are applied immediately.
Democracy mode is vote-based and has a more sophisticated input system.
In order to switch from one mode to the other, the mode that isn't active needs 75% of votes as indicated by the dotted line, the current percentage of votes is indicated by the black line.
In democracy mode you can compile a sequence of inputs. left2 will move left twice, left2down2 will move left twice and down twice.
If not it showed a sad part of human natureThe only thing that's sad is people caring so much about it. It's Twitch plays pokemon, it's not Cancer patient donation or something.
The social experiment is ruinedHow? The experiment was set there to see what happens if 80.000 people control a single game. Turns out people will join forces and work towards a goal. It's only ruined for people without common goals.
Why would they even mess with others for no reasonIt was put there for this very reason. The point is not to finish the game. People not agreeing is what drives this thing, not some nerds playing the game.
whoever supports A or B in that sad story needs to open their eyes.Exactly. I don't care if some pokemon gets dropped or if it's name is IAAAEEAE or IAEAORRAO, if there's a way to make someone angry simply by typing "down, down, select" in the browser then I think I'm going with it.
Make sure to report him, then, as harassing other channels is in clear violation of Twitch's TOS.
