Who can explain how cl_autotimenudge actually works?
i know basically its: -(ping/2). but how is it practically realized?
in q3 most servers default to 20hz (meaning a packet is sent out every 50ms) so u could sel cl_timenudge up to -50
ql servers run on 40hz (meaning a packet is sent out every 25ms)
so we can have -25 at max(?)
lets say u ping 80, autotn 1, so u have -40 tn.
-where this -15ms (40-25) come from?
-how does autotimenudge work with ql lag compensation? does it turn it off?(!)
-on what ping autotn stops working?
-why not just unlock cl_timenudge then?
p.s usefull posts r welcome. ty
