yeah, evil and tox were also invites, so i'm not sure i follow why they're lower in the brackets...guess that's what happens when you do a goofy 6-person tourney with pre-qualifier rather than just 8 players and make a proper bracket :/

so sponsorship guarantees tourney placement/seeding? don't think that's how it's supposed to work...

no but it would be silly if someone representing zowie in a zowie tournament got knockd out first round, so yes in that sense, that is how it works. "its good for business"

right - it would be silly if someone not deserving of making it further in the (skill/talent-based) tourney made it further in the tourney only because of the sponsorship...help me out here, because i'm not getting the logic just yet.

very defeatist of you - why would you just accept and defend something like that rather than either remaining silent or better yet, agreeing with my call-out of questionable/unethical activity on the tourney organizers' parts? just because it has happened in the past doesn't mean it's ok.
