This is very far from reality, no one will or wants to do military actions against N.K. and the USA is the last one who would want to do military actions against N.K. A collapse of N.K. would be too much for S.K. and China to handle. Also: you can't "free" a country against the will of the population and the north-korean population was indoctrinated for about 50 yrs. (at least 2 generations) with no possibility to gain other information than from the government. USA or NATO won't intervene there, because China wouldn't be okay with it. And a UN mandate therefore is also impossible. So this is really a 0% probability scenario.
The only thing that can be done realistically is by S.K. which would have to make its economic collaboration bigger, which would probably strengthen the regime, but at the same time give the option to positively influence the regime. This also goes for china.

NK does have a few basic nuclear weapons they bought from Israel in the 80s a country which has great influance on American overseas policy
