As some of you might havenoticed the Quake Live italian server has been online again for some days.

Since the original idea of the community donation wasn't going too well (the founding was closed and all the money was given back to the donators due to community problems) the very nice person that is

Pornoman decided to donate the whole price of the server rental for one year.

If anyone wants to show gratitude and maybe contribute to the expense, he can donate to pornoman@quakenet.it with paypal.
More information can be found at www.idsclan.it provided you know italian.

Serbian servers should be back online too. Servers were well populated with the scene of ex yugoslavia. After servers were shut down, the scene was gone too. I dont know what are the requirements of the servers, I dont know what is the cost, and the possible deal with id software. I would like to know all the info what did pornoman do so we can do the same.

Your best bet is to contact sponge on IRC, and keep in your mind that a ql server isn't cheap at all.

It's not that i don't want to help you, but i really had no role in this whole server thing besides reporting the news to esreality, so I don't actually know the details.

But have you tried writing to support@quakelive.com ?

Read here, but keep in mind that it was a machine above the requirements.
Should be about 450 euros a year for that one.

yes, according to steffo (who was in charge of the server in 2012 iirc) it's even slightly better than what id needs, like i said.
