Looking for a Medium/Large ambidextrous mouse for quake with a perfect sensor, size and shape? Look no further!
jk, im not being paid to review this product or have any affiliation with mionix at all, but this is what I've been looking for. Sensei RAW was a good shape but the sensor is shit. This is quite a wide and long mouse with a little bit of chunk to it in height (although it does feel quite 'flat', almost like a large abyssus): 125.3×65×36.6 mm 100grams
Its a bit heavier than most mice I guess, usually being around 85g or less with most quake players, but since I have larger hands I like this one, and I can be quite energetic so its easy for me to move this mouse fast on a 37cm/360 with palm, fingertip or claw grip.
Its got the new ADNS-3310 sensor which I'm using at 800dpi 1000hz (you can set it to 400 dpi if you want and 500hz etc) and LOD set to the lowest option in the drivers. Then uninstalled the drivers to eliminate any latency that might be caused by them. The mouse has over 5m/s tracking speed which is 2m/s more than the ADNS-3090 and it has no positive or negative accel, and angle snapping is disabled by default, but with the drivers you actually have the option of turning it on and configuring it how you like (not that I care about that because I hate angle snapping / prediction for aiming in quake).
So yeah, overall I'd recommend this to anyone that feels the kana or wmo isn't quite wide enough/long enough. It does feel a bit flatter than the wmo but for me personally its actually the perfect shape and what I wanted all along.
